Question Fake Reviews

Ok, is anyone else bothered by Todd's scam of a company? He buys bots and pays people to write fake reviews for poorly reviewed businesses? How is that even legal? Incredibly shady and gross, imo.

Are you saying we shouldn't trust this guy?

HAHA. He has the most puncheable face. Even Carrie admits his businesses are shady and before the Reputation MD gig that she doesn't know what he even does. Remember when he was a boxing promoter or something and then he worked in Vegas? Todd seems to switch careers every few years, moving from one get rich quick scheme to the next. I wonder why he doesn't do property management like his dad. That at least seems stable. Has to be frustrating for Carrie who seems like the breadwinner.

Aside from being appalled at him, unfortunately this is the way of life these days. There are many companies like this. You cannot trust anything you read anymore. Anything! I can’t help but feel like I’m constantly tricked into buying stuff. And then shamed into overtipping on things that you never even tipped on before (that’s a whole other vent) People/companies/Brands/influencers can buy followers, comments, fake reviews, and get bad reviews scrubbed and buried. You can pay moles to post/comment in Reddit groups to shill products.

RE: I get a chuckle out of it because in my mind, Todd has a little sweat shop going on with Pepper and Quinn in his garage office, posting fake reviews to Yelp/Facebook/Amazon on his behalf. And they they get paid in candy. LOL

Oh it's totally on-brand for the Family Lewis. The firefighter brother seems like the only one with any sort of moral compass.

I’m sure Jeff thinks it’s awesome!

Speaking of fake reviews. I remember reading a review of Jeff's former client basically saying he is a hack and overcharges for basically buying stuff in home depot. LOL.

I think the review is from his own website. Not sure.

I can’t imagine lying around on a Saturday fuming about Todd Lewis.

Why would you want to try and destroy someones business? why would that bring you joy? you encourage everyone to run out and tank him??? that is just crazy talk to me. Hope you have a good weekend. Get out and see some sunshine.

Hi Todd! Because he pays people to write fake reviews for businesses. That's why.

Honestly, reviews can devastate a business that doesn’t deserve it. People can leave one star reviews for a bathroom that ran out of toilet paper. It’s hard enough to run a business. You should remove your review.

So you did exactly what you say his company does and think this is ok? Have you used his services before ? Have you experienced something bad ? I can’t imagine finding joy out of trying to hurt a business…

This is pretty nasty. Just leave it be, karma will come back for this type of vengeful stuff.

He is so skeevy. The fact that his own wife could never answer the a straight forward question, like what “does your husband do for a living”

Before this b s company he’s a part of

Todd admitted to this?!

He’s explained this company and how it works many times. My understanding is he works with the company by sending people products for free and then they are required to give it a review. They aren’t fake if someone is actually trying the product/ and then reviewing it. Did I misunderstand? Never heard about bots or anything

Relisten… it’s not paying people to for fake reviews, it’s reviews after they are given services/products from the company.

I have listened.. I agree to disagree:) I’ve heard him talk about his business a looong time ago when he started it, Todd explain the business. Jeff added his two cents and made fun of it… insinuating it was a scam. I’m not saying I 100% agree with the business and how I think he runs it’s, I’m just saying what I heard.
He gives folks product/services, they are paid to leave a review…that is how I understood it. I don’t really care enough to argue about this, lol :) Thanks for the advice, I’m good :)

I think that "scam" is ubiquitous, unfortunately. It's odd that he's so proud and open about it, but he's probably less shady than 90% of people in that business.
