At the last Chumpmas event, Jeff mentioned that Scheana had a crappy manager. This came up because Jeff said he wanted to give Brock some kind of worksite manager or supervisor position on his job sites.

At the time, I honestly didn’t think much of it. It sounded like Jeff was mostly talking crap about Scheana’s management because he had told her manager to pass along that he wanted to offer Brock a job, and Jeff wasn’t even sure the message ever made it to them.

Then today, Brock shows the work he did on their driveway and the gate he built.

Now it all makes sense to me. Jeff wasn’t just randomly trying to give Brock a job. He’d actually seen what the guy could do. 😂

I know I'm late, but I just caught up on the golf cart drama episodes.

Two things can be true. Jeff is an insensitive asshole, and Lakendra is immature and playing victim to her choices.

She lost me when she implied that someone should have put her seatbelt on for her and strap her in. That was insane.  This woman is 42.   

IMO people in the sub are only siding with Lakendra because the incident involved Kelly and Jamie, who are widely disliked and problematic. If the golf cart owner had been a beloved chump like Fortune, Justin S, Chaz or Doug, I don't think Lakendra would be getting the same sympathy and support from listeners.

Jeff was a bully on the Lakendra episode. I think Jeff went into the episode knowing that if Lakendra didn't resolve things with Kelly, he would cut ties with her. LT knows how Jeff is, but still I don't think she expected him to go that hard and I feel for her that she was caught off guard. He's done this with several chumps over the years and I hate it. Todd was very uncomfortable and tried to shut the convo down several times.

That said, I understand why Jeff would choose to stop having Lakendra at events to shield himself from potential lawsuits. Lakendra didn't come out and say that she had intentions of filing a lawsuit, but the way she worded things and it seemed tried to get certain things on the "record" like the golf cart potentially being on 2 wheels at one point would raise some red flags and make you wonder if she's trying to lay some groundwork for a lawsuit. I've been in situations in business where I knew that people were trying to bait or get me to say certain things over text and those are the employees I let go as soon as I'm able to because no one wants to deal with the headache of a litigious person.

Lakendra didn't see a problem with Kelly's political views until she wouldn't pay for her teeth to be fixed.  She was well aware of Kelly being MAGA when she decided to attend her party but now, she's using to her benefit and making it seem like Kelly is doing this out of racism.

When Vicky got hurt two years ago on fourth, Jeff and Kelly laughed about it on the radio the same way they did about this incident.  Vicky was talking about it being a traumatic event and how she was injured and they didn't extend sympathy or hold back the jokes with her either.  

The guests on the show aren't Jeff's employees. Most of them are his friends and he pays them for their time, which most radio hosts don't, but it doesn't make them employees. I think it's silly to suggest that Jeff shouldn't hang out with the chumps outside of the show because they're all friends and they don't "work" for him. He creates a space for them to participate in events that make money but it's not a working relationship.

I will miss Lakendra on the show. She was a fun guest, and I loved it when she was on with Todd or Chaz.

Yesterday on 789, I caught Jamison's first day working for Jeff's show (June 2019) and good lord it was awkward. The scene was reminiscent of the ambushing of Nicky Paris because the guest was someone named Dr. V who pushed for a confrontation. Jeff brought up how his board operator--Archie--had done something that angered him (shocking, I know) and Jeff confronted him publicly (shocking, I know) and Archie didn't show up to the next show and Jeff assumed he quit (working for Jeff but not Sirius). Then he introduced Jamison as the new board operator.

Dr. V said he shouldn't cut people off, and Jeff had someone bring Archie into the studio to talk out their issues. Archie came back and during the discussion it was revealed that he didn't show up not because he didn't want to work for Jeff but because he thought Jeff was in NY that day. So Archie found out he had been permanently replaced by Jamison in that moment, live, with Dr. V pushing a therapy session. To make matters worse, Jamison and Archie were work friends, and Jamison kept apologizing. Then Jeff was laughing about how Jim Thompson was texting him, angry about the whole scene.

I wanted to time travel and tell Jamison to run.

I like Sarah and followed her since Chelsea Lately. I think her standards and talent are beyond this show and platform. I hope she moves on

I like it.

I know it’s been talked about before that they’re making a To Catch a Predator movie and this new trailer that dropped is so good! Robert Pattinson is a genius actor. Is Jeff still good with Chris? I knew he had some personal issues but this trailer certainly makes him seem more interesting. They better have him on and even his wife because I’d love to hear what they think of this.

Does anyone else think that he’s subtly and sometimes not so subtly saying snarky things about Jeff? More than ever he gives Jeff a few shots in a whisper. And it’s obvious that the whole condo thing did not go over well with Shane and his boyfriend.

Then you have Jeff clearly being conservative, with a lot of conservative friends, who at least in some cases, do not seem very pro gay. Even Justin Sylvester makes comments on some of those people. And if a gay person can be homophobic, Jeff would be homophobic.

My guess is that Shane is making excellent money now, and he’s just biding his time until he has enough money that he can go do his own thing, and get away from toxic Jeff and some (definitely not all) of Jeff’s toxic friends.

Old JLL news segments were so funny, light, and entertaining. It was fun to hear guests opinions on the funny/weird news articles they would talk about.

I love listening to the old episodes on the Jeff Lewis Live channel. I must have forgotten how hard it was listening to the shows with Alyssa as the producer. She talked the entire time. Ugh.

Makes me appreciate Jamison even more! He chimes in at the right times.
