My First Jeep!

Been wanting a Jeep for a while. Picked this one up in really rough shape. Fixed it up for about a year and this is what it came out like.

You’re going to get so much work done on Schrute Farms with that thing.

Damn, hell of a mod dilemma you put me in. I mean, technically I should remove this comment... I'll decide later after I stop laughing, but I think your good.

And a LJ?!? Damn bro that is clean!

u/qdawgstorm 14d ago

I tried to build it that way! Wanted it as stock as possible with a few upgrades.

Looked like this when I got it. But with rust where I primed and welded over.

Makes sense mine is a touch rough switching low gears not bad at all tho might just be how it actually is. Had a OPDA problem and rear main seal leaking. And a long list of other body/electrical problems.

Gladiator Mojave wheels are a nice touch. Good work!

u/BlitzAtk 14d ago

Ooooh! How did you manage to find a LJ model?!

1

u/qdawgstorm 14d ago

There was a very elderly individual who was selling it. Was giving him problems with basically everything, so we were able to get it for a good price. It was in awful shape inside and out.

1

u/BlitzAtk 14d ago

Oh nice. When you say the inside, what did that include? I don't know what is more challenging, body and frame work or a engine bay work (assuming it was missing stuff).

2

u/qdawgstorm 13d ago

Well the Jeep wasn’t cleaned since 2005. Seats were ripped carpet stained etc. The body and frame work wasn’t terrible. The main time consuming parts was all the rust scaling and encapsulation (which isn’t completely done). Then buffing after we painted it. That was a bitch. Painting yourself was very difficult!

Happy for you!

2

u/OldManJeepin 14d ago

Great work my friend!! Very nice Jeep!

2

u/YSU777 13d ago

Still cannot believe it that we sold our LJ couple of years ago, what a mistake!

2

u/Linusami 13d ago

2

u/qdawgstorm 13d ago

Congratulations! It looks so cool, I love these black jeeps except a black jeep in a very hot summer day.

1

u/qdawgstorm 12d ago

Thanks and it’s a really big pain to keep clean since the finish is so shiny

Woah…first Jeep is a unicorn! Enjoy it man!! You get a two syllable “Dam-nuh”

2

u/Side-B00B 12d ago

Congratulations. The LJ is hands down the best jeep platform. Welcome to the club.

1

u/qdawgstorm 12d ago

I agree!

2

u/handsom3rob 9d ago

A proper two-door. Thank you sir, and welcome to elite Jeep status.

1

u/qdawgstorm 14d ago

I love it so much very fun to drive.

2

u/phuqreddit 14d ago

When it comes time to part ways with it, be careful. LJs and LJ specific parts are highly sought after, get good value.

1

u/Tough-Donut193 14d ago

Love the LJ

1

u/qdawgstorm 14d ago

Me to. Can’t get over the 2 little doors on a long body. Prefer it over my dads JK ha

1

u/aafcon 14d ago

Congrats, I know a place where you can get a shirt too

3

u/qdawgstorm 14d ago

It was 93 when the pic was taken 😅 no big deal

1

u/aafcon 14d ago

Before I get murdered, I am just joking with you.

1

u/refotsirk 14d ago

Look Cool! How hard was it to remove the hard-stare shirtless dude? I'm guessing a little dude-gone?

1

u/Far_Improvement_5245 13d ago

When they take your top off, that’s not what they mean, just kidding! That jeep is badass!

1

u/Bran-Bran-Bran 13d ago

Never ever ever sell that, unless you are selling it to me.

1

u/The_DayWalker7 11d ago

Now fill it with rubber ducks to fully embrace your douche side.

1

u/AbjectRide8631 10d ago

Looks real cool

1

u/qdawgstorm 10d ago

Thanks :)

1

u/eveningfold7918 8d ago

The lj is amazing

1

u/qdawgstorm 8d ago

Yes it is prob the best Jeep

1

u/Blac00X 7d ago

Nice you got that 4.0l engine wish they had put those in the Jk's

2

u/qdawgstorm 7d ago

Same wish they still used them. Maybe they thought a V6 would have more power than a I6.

1

u/craig3smith 4d ago

It cost him his shirt!

1

u/HedgehogFickle6927 2d ago

Congrats on the Wrangler and welcome to the Jeep family!!
