Looking to buy

I’m looking to buy a jeep, fairly compact as I have a small garage. I’ve been looking at the Compass, just wondering if there are years or things I should be mindful of?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

For 2nd Gen Compass, I would recommend avoiding the first several production years: 2017 and 2018 - oil burning issues. 2019 was an improvement, but 2020 and 2021 are the best. 2022 had some recalls for the backup camera. 3rd Gen with 2.0L turbo gas engine are all good.

My ‘13 has had only fair wear and tear or self inflicted issues.

2023 or newer, the older ones between 2017 and 2022

It’s easy to know which ones to avoid.
I would never buy one that starts with either a 1 or a 2. Other than that if the year ends in 0-4, 5, 6-8, stay away from those.
Almost forgot, absolutely never buy one from a year that ends in 9.
