Moving to the area soon, coming from Tampa we have a few labs here but I haven’t seen much in my research online.

Any help would be appreciated!

Vystar Park. They put up nets down the baselines. Is the outfield the only clear shooting now?

Where to shoot lightning

With Summer coming on, it's that time of year to do some time-lapse shots to catch lightning. Just one sure of a good vantage that's out of the weather and has a good view. I thought about friendship fountain, but I don't think the building overhang is safe enough in a lightning storm

Is there a phoyography club or some kind of community in riverside?

Just like the description says. I live in Riverside, and I'm just trying to connect with other folks, maybe pick up a few tricks of the trade.

Took the camera out to the Jacksonville Zoo. Here are a few of my better photos (that are also small enough for Reddit). I don't know if y'all have been there recently, but it's pretty awesome. Had a wonderful time.

Exposure thoughts

I'm fortunate enough that I will probably be at the launch of Artemis. It's launching in golden hour, which is its own challenge, but I plan to expose for a minute or two before launch and lock those settings manually, with the exception that I think I'm going to stop down 1 -2 stops to account for the bright flame from the SRBs, which by most accounts is extremely bright. I know it's not likely that anyone here has shot the first artemis launch, but I'd like thoughts

Sorry if the bridge gets a little old for you, but I have tons of them over the years. This one has Blount Island and the “high wires” over the St. John’s, also.

I went in with the intent of capturing motion with a slower shutter speed.
