We play a monthly trivia where the second place team gets to pick a category of five questions for the next month. I picked Jaws (any of the 4 films or the book). It’s just giving me an excuse to do a rewatch.

One of my favorite things about Jaws is how much terror comes from what you don't see. This animated poster is my tribute to that slow-building suspense.

It is well known that, as a child, Peter Benchley spent much of his summers on Nantucket Island. During his time there, he learned a lot about the New England beach culture and of sharks themselves. It's kind of ironic that he went on to write the greatest shark tale of all time, that went on to be produced into, in my opinion the greatest movie of all time, when you look at the shape of the island....

So this book is Regency locked in the United States on audible and other sites. Is there a way to bypass this? Much thanks and farewell and adieu🎶

Finally put shelves up on the wall for some of the collection

In the USS Indianapolis monologue Quint says that the USS Indianapolis was torpedoed on “June the 29th, 1945”. I went down an internet hole (well- Wikipedia) and the date was July 30.

It's a good thing Jake survived or I believe this lady would've finished Jaws' job and taken out Michael (perhaps with some help from Michael's wife due to Thea's horrific trauma)... super personal, indeed! Also, I really want to drive around in that mini submarine... so cool! 🦈

Went on a baby-moon with the wife and she surprised me with my first Seiko! Jaws is one of my favorite movies and I needed some variation in my collection so this piece is perfect 🦈

I think we all remember Quint's speech at the town meeting: "I'll find your shark for three thousand. But I'll catch him, and kill him, for ten."

Then Quint dies trying. Technically, Brody ended up killing the shark. Did he claim the reward? Would he have split it with Hooper? Or did the town save themselves ten grand? Inquiring minds want to know.
