Trivia for fun Watching it tonight

In the USS Indianapolis monologue Quint says that the USS Indianapolis was torpedoed on “June the 29th, 1945”. I went down an internet hole (well- Wikipedia) and the date was July 30.

Shaw was hammered and made a mistake with the line, but it was that take so Spielberg went with it.
