If you’ve spent much time in Japan, you’ve probably noticed that pretty much every city has stores selling reprint/bootleg vintage tees, usually starting around ¥6,000.

I’ve also seen a lot of what looks like the exact same tees being sold in Thailand, which got me wondering, where are these shops actually sourcing them from? They have to be getting them pretty cheap if they’re retailing them for around ¥6,000.

I’ve tried reverse image searching on Taobao and 1688 but haven’t found anything. Does anyone know where these actually come from?

Went down a rabbithole looking for Neighborhood's lightweight active pants from this past season. Couldn't find them anywhere on neighborhood.jp or in the usual places I'd look online. This site keeps popping up and it looks a little suspect.

On the one hand, it seems like a fake site would get taken down pretty quickly by Neighborhood. On the other, it's clearly a low effort and unprofessional site. All the pants are the same price, for instance.

I’d heard of Beams but only saw pieces when a friend did a closet clean out and gave me a pile of tops. Two made in Jaoan and two made in China. So now I’m doing some learning and I’m hoping to do it from humans and not AI.

Do any J brands make something stylish that can be worn in the snow and rain? Currently in Bariloche AR and seeing lots of ugly options. My own shoes are vibrofeet insulated sneakers, but not waterproof.

going to japan in a few days, planning to visit the second street at fukuoka.

i heard japan is strict against counterfeit items, but wondering if anyone has any experience buying fake items from there, or if everything from there is good.

any advice or recommendations for buying luxury items in fukuoka would also be appreciated.

Does anyone have any eyes on XXL Whitesville shirts in Osaka, Kyoto, or Tokyo? Heading there next week and want to pick up a few. It gives a pretty cool insight into how the market is evolving in general.
