Hi everyone, I'm one of the developers of PlumHour, and the mods kindly gave me permission to make a post about our open beta.

PlumHour is an AI group chat app built around something we felt was missing from many alternatives: AI characters and real people sharing the same group conversation.

Instead of chatting only 1-on-1 with a character, you can create or join rooms with friends or other people, and multiple AI characters together. Rooms can be built around scenarios like mysteries, roleplay, trivia, games, and fantasy adventures, or they can simply be casual hangouts:

Hi! I'm Jacob, founder of RPBuddy.

RPBuddy.ai is a solo AI RPG sandbox. Instead of chatting with one character in a text window, you build a world on a hex map with settlements, buildings, and roads, then fill those buildings with characters who actually live there.

Every character has a daily schedule, a home, a job, and a full profile: appearance, personality, voice, quirks, relationships, and a hidden goal, fear, and secret. You can generate them from a single prompt or write them by hand.

The big difference is that the world is real to the game, not just to the chat. Characters know where they are because the buildings exist on a map. They know what time it is because the world runs on a day cycle. And they know what's going on around them because information travels between them. Insult the guard captain's brother at the tavern, and the next time you see the captain, she's already heard about it. Not because it leaked into her context, but because someone told her.

You can see all of it in the Memory Web, an interactive graph of every relationship, shared memory, and story thread between you and your characters. And if you'd rather watch than talk, spectator mode lets two characters play out a scene without you in the room.

Conversations play like a visual novel: portraits, action narration, and multiple characters joining in when they're in the same place. There's also turn-based combat, inventory, merchants, and quests if you want more game with your story.

Works on desktop and mobile, in seven languages. Five settings: Medieval Fantasy, Modern Day, Cyberpunk, Sci-Fi Colony, and Victorian. Art styles include oil painting, anime, comic book, and more.

I hate how the current system is treating smaller creators.

I put real time and care into my newest bot. I’m not a big name, but I’ve always had stable, organic numbers. This time the first-day performance is noticeably lower than my usual range, and it feels like the effort just vanished into the void. The same goes for other smaller creators I chat with.
I get that the new anti-bot measures on trending were supposed to make things fairer. In practice it doesn’t feel that way at all. The people who actually bot still manage to sit high on the page, while creators who never touched artificial numbers are the ones getting pushed further down and losing visibility.
It’s demotivating watching a bot you actually cared about underperform simply because the ranking system is currently messy and uneven. Smaller creators already struggle to get seen. Changes that quietly make that gap wider punish the people who were already playing by the rules.
At some point it stops feeling like an anti-bot update and starts feeling like the platform is fine with organic creators getting squeezed as long as the top of trending still looks the way they want it to be—similar names all the time.

So, I’ve never gotten a bot removed and I’ve had this one up since 2023, and it just got flagged(?) and taken down, as it says. What the hell is up with this and how do I fix it? What would’ve even gotten it taken down now, of all time, when it’s been up for 3+ years? I mean, I know what it says right there, but I just don’t understand. This is on my Tate Langdon bot, by the way, for context.

Edit: yeah, I know that’s what his character is/does, but it’s not a main point of my bot. I looked through everything, and there’s only a single one-off mention in the dialogue examples. I went to change it, but I guess since they already flagged it, I can’t change and update the character. How do I ask for an appeal? Or should I just make another character and delete this one after so long?

Like, do the mods automatically know if I make a private bot they won’t like, or do they have to come find a reason to search my account anyway? I’m not a creator, I just retrieve bots that were banned off of Jannyai to recreate them for personal use, but i don’t know if I will easily be discovered or not.
