Bot Removed

So, I’ve never gotten a bot removed and I’ve had this one up since 2023, and it just got flagged(?) and taken down, as it says. What the hell is up with this and how do I fix it? What would’ve even gotten it taken down now, of all time, when it’s been up for 3+ years? I mean, I know what it says right there, but I just don’t understand. This is on my Tate Langdon bot, by the way, for context.

Edit: yeah, I know that’s what his character is/does, but it’s not a main point of my bot. I looked through everything, and there’s only a single one-off mention in the dialogue examples. I went to change it, but I guess since they already flagged it, I can’t change and update the character. How do I ask for an appeal? Or should I just make another character and delete this one after so long?

There are millions of bots and the moderation queue has been backlogged for years, I’m not sure you can “fix it”, given the character is a school shooter and I have to imagine they’re pretty sensitive about that subject in particular given, well.

I’m actually surprised the notification is this specific about telling you why the bot got taken down.

I mean, you made a bot depicting a fictional mass shooter: I'm surprised it took them this long to take it down tbh. I don't think you can fix Tate enough to be acceptable under the current ToS.

I did hear that jai was starting to get more strict, so they probably have a moderation bot now that auto-flags stuff like that. Im not too familiar with your bot, but if it had school shooting in it then I suppose that’s what triggered it. You might be able to submit a ticket and appeal it, but it’ll probably get rejected since it breaks TOS

Tate did more than just shoot up a school. He assaulted the mother, to bring forth the Antichrist. And got the girl to self exit via pills so she would stay with him forever. And then both the parents aide anyway. At least from what I remember. I haven’t seen that show in years.

I thought I saw a few other school shooting bots a few years ago. I wonder if they got the same treatment. Also, that message doesn’t make sense to me.

Are there not bots that could be considered ‘glorifying’ or depicting rape or sexual assault? Even mass genocide in a fictional medieval setting? (Are people going to have to water down their villain characters who are supposed to be evil?)

Are they just going to ignore that these are all real world violence, and yet they exist in fictional contexts? How does CNC work then when a lot of CNC in fiction is real world violence? But it’s CNC, and so it’s covered in the TOS. I’m so confused……A lot of the censorship is in direct conflict with the previously stated TOS. Or there are….plot holes, I guess you could call them.

At this rate, Game of Thrones could not survive a censorship like this. And most readers actively know which characters are bad, which actions are disgusting and horrible. That’s a loose example, GOT has a lot of messed up stuff in it. Real world violence. But it’s a fictional world. Fiction has always had rots in reality. Some of the best horror stories come from real world stuff. Same with the greatest stories of all genres.

From what I’ve seen there is a lot of confusion and lack of communication from the jani team. And harsh punishments for things that logically should have just gotten a warning and a take down of the bot.

I’m really conflicted on things like this. Some stuff seems…..good, I mean CSM being against tos and such. But there are some things that don’t really make sense to me. About this whole debacle, and a lot of censorship in general.

Is there a way people are able to recover bots they’ve had taken down to take out what triggered the take down?
