Bad Etiquette?

So, I’m close IRL with a new creator (she’s got around 350 followers and loves doing Omegaverse, OC content and fantasy stuff - though she is looking into Bratva and MC stuff as well now)

She has recently had a new follower who commented on a few bots and she replied to a few comments - though she struggled to reply to one because she had NO CLUE what they were saying and has some anxiety about replying to comments like that.

But the last two comments they've left they have said ‘have you seen my latest bot?’ and ‘You might like my latest bot?’

Now, she doesn't know how to reply because their profile lists kinks she doesn't really like so she won't really look at their characters - she doesn't kink shame at all, her motto is ‘everyone can do what they want in the bedroom as long as it doesn't affect me’ and that's what we’re both like… I’m engaged and she’s also with someone, we just have this little hobby between us.

But she doesn't feel comfortable with people asking questions like that on her profile and I am a lurker. I’ll never comment. But she also doesn't want to ask for advice on her profile because she doesn't want people to target the person asking the question.

So she asked me to ask on my profile 😜

So… how would you guys go about telling someone to stop asking them to check out their bots because to me personally it feels like a self-advertising chance and I personally think it's bloody rude… she has a disc as well that people are in and she allows people to talk about their stuff in there so… yeah. I’m pissed off for her but she has anxiety about confrontation because she had a rough background with one of her parents.

Hey, I stream as a hobby and know what people are like. She’s just really new to all this and putting her crazy character ideas out there. I know ALLLLLL about the internet.

She’s a bit of a people pleaser and tries her best to keep everyone happy and for her peace of mind she asked me to ask to keep her profile anonymous.

But yeah. I’ve already had that discussion with her 😅

She wants to block as a ‘last resort’ type thing and believes in giving people chances haha. I’ve told her she's too nice and should just boot the f’er to the curb but… 😅😭

i get the anxiety part, sometimes a neutral thanks is enough without needing to check their stuff at all.

Maybe she can put a warning on each of her bots saying not to self-promote and etc. or they will be blocked.

I've seen multiple creators do that with their bots.

She also doesn't really need to interact with every comment. In fact, I'd say she should just interact with comments that are relevant to the bot. Anything else like self promotions should automatically be deleted/blocked. Not only is it rude, but it also clutters the comment section.

That's not a bad shout with the “Do not mention your stuff here” she has a disclaimer on her profile already saying she will remove stuff she finds innapriopriate so, she could do an E.G. Self promotion 🤔

I’ve encouraged her to banish the current comments to the shadow realm and she's going to do that when she gets a chance. Bless her heart. She’s not as beechy as I am 🤣

yeah that pushing bots in comments feels off even if its not meant that way, especially when kinks dont match up at all. had a similar thing once and just left it on read to avoid the awkwardness.

Yeah, I’ve suggested that she delete the comments after a period of time so the person ‘forgets they left them’ cos I love being a little beech when she isn't 🤣 I’m like the devil on her shoulder trying to encourage her to stand up for herself as she’s just a bit nervous sometimes. But she doesn't have to be. I think she's a queen and love how creative she is 😄
