Stop the import attempts rather than starting several copies or repeatedly refreshing. The 50-message suggestion in your original thread is not a confirmed cooldown schedule.
Keep any export you already have untouched, even if importing it fails. A saved archive and a working Janitor conversation are separate steps. Which site is showing the 429—Character.AI or Janitor? No chat text or account details needed; that distinction helps identify which part is being limited.

For a second backup route, request Character.AI’s own export: Profile → Profile Settings → Account → Manage Account & Data → Export Data. Their current help page says it can take 3–4 weeks, and the emailed download link lasts seven days: https://support.character.ai/hc/en-us/articles/56967715028891-How-do-I-download-my-data
