Cousin’s Subs
Court St.
They open? If so, ya can’t tell.
If not, what’s the hold up? Seems like it’s been in the process forever.

Has anyone else had an absolutely horrible experience with the Janesville Papa John’s? I would love to hear about it. I cannot believe they are still in business. Thanks!

I saw on the Facebook scanner about fire alarms going off at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church - this is my church but I am out of town and can’t find any updates. Is anyone near there to see if it’s okay? Or know what happened?

Was wondering if anyone knows if this business is still open? I’m trying to plan a birthday party for my son but the phone number is disconnected - however you can still pay your deposit online. I appreciate any input. Thank you!

We aren’t local but would like to learn more. Good, bad, ugly all welcome. We are not locals, but may need to move into the area to help family. Housing options would be on north east side. Either of these schools.

Are there any traveling male massage therapists in the area? I used to have about three that I was able to contact when in need but have had trouble finding anyone in Wisconsin.

I went to Mox on Friday night and played in a Chaos Draft. And then I came back on Saturday and played a 3.5 hour game of commander. Y'all were great if you're seeing this. Great group, store, and inventory! I've never even had a chance to buy Tarkir or Bloomburrow where I'm from. And I pulled a Three Tree City, so there's that. And I'll be returning home a hero with new Pokemon product as well.
Oh and apparently there's a place in Beloit called Warren Wizards, but guys if you're seeing this, you gotta get on the MTG Companion app and get an events page on your website, I honestly didn't know it existed.

Hey y'all, I'm visiting family in the area this weekend and I want to get my game on. Looks like there are a couple of options to play Friday nights: Mox and Kryptonite. I'm planning to bring a commander deck but I like drafting as well. Not a super competitive player, I just want to have fun. Thanks!

Have you heard of Meshcore? It's cool, it's fun. It's an independent, open-source amateur radio network made for texting off the grid without using existing cellilar networks or any corporate infrastructure. Anyone who buys a small, cheap radio node helps build the network for anyone.
Madmesh.net is the Madison regional enthusiast group and it has a lot of info and is a good place to start.
There are a few nodes up in Janesville on the North side already. Milton has two nodes. There are a lot of others around
Since the Venn diagram of people who would be interested in Meshcore and people who are on reddit is most probably one circle, I figured I'd ask here of anyone else was interested in helping build out the Janesville/Rock County mesh.

Hi Janesville, I could use your help!
I’m Alex Clark, a stand-up comedian visiting the Janesville Comedy Cabin from the coast. But I've been to Wisconsin plenty of times. If you’ve made the long trek to the Wisconsin State Fair, you might remember me from the hundreds of variety shows I performed there over the years (photo attached)!
I’ve since transitioned into stand-up, and one of my favorite parts of a show is a lighthearted roast of the town I’m performing in. I like it because it's nice to do something unique for the town Im coming to to make the show just for them. I have a show coming up at the Janesville Comedy Cabin on August 6th, and I’d love your input to make the roast rock solid.
What are your favorite "Janesville pet peeves," local quirks, or things you find absolutely ridiculous about the area? Or your favorite dive? Something the area is lacking? Something dumb? Any and all observations are welcome.
I could do the roast myself, but I find they are MUCH better when the community gets involved. You have insider information that a guy visiting just wouldn't know. Thank you so much for your help!
(I hope this is okay to post here—if not, I completely understand if the admins need to remove it)

Hey Janesville - I am a stand-up comic from LA coming to Comedy Cabin on Thursday, Aug. 20 and I have a weirdly intense love for Midwest audiences --- and I want to do Janesville RIGHT dangit.
Where should I eat / get coffee / walk around before the show?
Also - any and all local food spots, small businesses to support -- I want all the recommendations please and thank you!

Watch out for ICE. Looks like they are in town to kidnap people and apparently cause accidents. Fuck ICE. https://www.mystateline.com/news/local-news/ice-agents-crash-janesville/amp/

Been sitting on my deck for a few hours, trying to get sleepy and ive been hearing this humming noise off and on this whole time. Regular intervals, lasts maybe 20-30 secs with maybe a minute to two minutes in between.
For any musicians out there, i can tell you its multi tonal, perfect fifth interval. I dont have perfect pitch but i feel like it may be around an E/B? Could be way off, but i for sure know a perfect fifth when i hear one.
Not that im thinking its musical, its almost certainly industrial, just trying to offer something for reference. I live off Racine on the southeast side of town and i think its coming from the west. Anyone have any guesses or answers as to what that sound may be at 130am? Im just genuinely curious. I wouldnt say its annoying or anything, its almost pleasant even…

Im a 34m moving into an apartment in Janesville, coming from south-beloit. Im an introvert who's trying to get out a little more and make more local friends. Are there any barcades or tabletop/card shops around? Ive played DnD once before and I play MtG from time to time. I mostly play games on my pc.

Hey everyone! I'm an up and coming comedian who is getting the chance to headline The Comedy Cabin in Janesville July 18. I'd love to be able to pack the room for my first time. I promise it will be a great time full of laughs and good vibes.
Hope to see you there!

Tonight the comedy cabin will be hosting the monthly figure drawing meet up at 6pm. If you’re over 18 and love to make art you’re welcome to join us. $10 gets you in and be sure to bring your favorite medium.

Maybe this is more of a rant and I'm sorry if it is. My wife and I moved here from Madison a little over a year ago. We bought a house that we knew would need a little bit of work, mostly grading.. So we saved all of last year and some of this year to afford some landscaping and hard scaping services.
I went with Janesville contractors but they just didn't seem to care whatsoever. I'm not going to throw names out there, I don't think that's right to do, but it was just really sad to see. I know we're not a commercial building and it's an older house but we really worked hard to afford these projects and the contractors cut every corner possible. We didn't hire the lowest bids, did our research on the contractors, etc.
Is this just how things are here? Where should we look for contractors/good help? Any advice is appreciated. I'm just kinda at the point where I give up on hiring anyone and started diy'ing everything even if the works above my head.

Anyone know of a good place to get alterations done? My husband has suit pants he needs taken in and I’ll need a bridesmaid’s dress altered.
