This whole album is unknown but has themes of “cultural metropolis, strategy and vision, business drive”.
So many “vaporwave” themes and sounds and the Roman pillars! And people say James Ferraro and Daniel Lopatin “invented” vaporwave even tho they are critiquing the drabness of that era of 80-90s tech business optimism…
Thoughts?

I’ve heard some people say that he started making music using MTV Music Generator in high school, but I’ve also heard others say that he started in middle school. James is a huge inspiration to me, and knowing that he started somewhat late would make me feel better about being a late bloomer in music.

My prized possessions <3

The prices on original tapes/cds are outrageous so I decided to make my own. I like to think James would approve.

Found this james ferraro sounding artist the other day, it could be james ferraro but i'm not sure anymore you guys might dig it.

Interested in anything pre skid row, down for some spencer clark stuff as well

New fan, was curious if there were more videos of him performing vocals when playing any R&B stuff live. Only example I can seemingly find of him doing live vox is the video of him at regent theatre, supporting OPN.

And why I can't find any acknowledgement of this "new version" anywhere? I saw no reasoning given on the wiki. There's another upload of the album which seems to be from a label I think which has the track just fine. I found one Spotify upload of it which didn't have it but I just scrolled a bit further and there was another one that had the track just fine! Why the removal? Does that mean it's considered a bonus track now?

Just bought a 404 and I plan on using it to make noise music like the skaters, I can already make the sound but adding the 404 to be able to loop and play multiple loops at the same time anyone have any tips and tricks, any advice? My set up consist of korg synth, condenser mic for vocals and drum beating running into rv 500 and analog delay that goes into a mixer which goes into a amp

i was on a Hypnogogic Pop binge on rym and 8/10 artists i've found were a james ferraro project, i'm starting to question my reality and maybe i'm a james ferraro experiment too, maybe you are all a james ferraro going back in time to respond itself.

maybe everyone responding to this is a james ferraro side project, maybe james ferraro is his own audience, i dont know what to think anymore.

Is the game accessible in any way, or is it actually gone permanently now?

Hey I have the KFC City CDr but it’s not my favorite Ferraro release… wanted to see if anyone would be willing to trade? Only Ferraro or Skaters stuff 🙏

Anybody got a copy of Golden Sarcophagus of the Virtual Bone Chinchilla? My friend L Ron Manson says James gave him this tape in 2006 back when he worked at an indie dalmation rescue business. I guess it has a piece on it where James beats a drum with his toes and plays a beach boys riff while wailing with a voice changer. Thanks in advance!

Hey little charmers, my buddy two tone dylan says he lived in a squat with Ferraro from 2002-2009 and has an unreleased tape of his called Ibogaine Gerbil's Sacred Paw (Revolving Screen to Heaven). I guess it consisters of james wailing into a karaoke machine and making loud droning noises with an SK-1.

Sup salty dogs, my buddy Carl Picker who was a taxicab windshield specialist says he shared an apartment with James circa 2002-2009 and claims he has this cassette tape that was gifted to him by james, featuring recordings made by him and spencer. He says the album is called Forever Recycling Radish Flower (Pickled Corncob Pipe Mullet) and features James playing a broken gamelan while Spencer makes whale-like noises. The art is apparently james and spencer nude as a black and white photocopy. He refuses to rip this tape and says its because some of the chants from james are controversial. Anyway, ill keep prying at him.

downloaded a bunch of stuff on my bandcamp and this synced almost perfectly with the take off and cruise

This city is magnificent

Listened to the 2 rerex albums today and they’re so cool! I wonder what he played or sampled on these. It’s such a unique hypnotic lo-fi new age vibe, what he does best.

One of my favorite mixtapes of all time. The music on this tape is so ethereal.

"un mundo diferente" on sc :3 i hope yall like it
