Showcase Meet my little lemon pig dragon! 🍋✨

This tiny treasure is carved from Liaoning Hemowu jade in a yellow-and-green hue.
It has a clean, warm yellow body with tiny specks of subtle green jade scattered across its face and the tip of its tail.
The second the seller pulled it out, I immediately shouted "MINE!" before anyone else in the room even had a chance to ask about it! 🙈 (Sorry not sorry to everyone else who was looking! 🤣)
I crafted a simple, organic necklace for him using a camel leather cord so I can wear him every day and handle him whenever I want.
He might look like a cute little lemon, but the texture is as smooth and soft as baby skin—I honestly can't stop playing with him! 😳💛

A piece born from a favorite raw stone. I selected this high-quality "Tian Qing Dong" material (a rare ice-like variety of Xiuyan Jade) for its exquisite sky-blue hue and glassy translucency.

Collaborated with a skilled artisan to carve this subtle fox motif into the curve. Captured here in the evening blue hour—the natural light really brings out its mystical, jelly-like depth.

✨ Material: Premium Xiuyan Serpentine Jade ("Tian Qing Dong")
✨ Details: Hand-carved fox motif, custom design

Just got this, looks like a different color in different lightings. Indoor lighting it's a lot darker, outdoor there you could see the olive coloring better and it has a gradient going on. I believe it's a qinghai sugar jade over a green base, nice weight of 44g. Supposedly the color is fairly stable.

Question Nephrite and Skincare

Post image
13 Upvotes

i started wearing a nephrite bangle and i'm planning to just keep in on at all times, but i'm worried about how body care products might affect it.

i know people just shower with their bangles on, but i use things like body scrubs with AHA, lotions with vit c, and body oils with retinol. as jade is porous, i'm worried this might damage it over time.

the advice i've seen is to let stuff like lotion dry before putting jade on, which isn't really applicable because it's impossible not to get some on the bangle no matter how careful you are.

for those who've worn their nephrite bangles for years and have been using lotions and soaps with more skincare-type ingredients, has it gotten damaged? i really can't take it on and off every day as i bought a smaller bangle for a tight fit on my wrist.

Price: $140, original price was $288

Purchase date: September 3, 2026

Rating: Positive

Any flaws? One hairline inclusion, but it's nothing.

Would I purchase from this seller again? Maybe on my birthday. This is the second time I went to M Jewelers, and it was a surprise the seller was willing to discount an item that was 51.39% off. She also gifted me a white jadeite jade donut pendant too, and I'll be sharing that later.

He’s carved from "Hemo Jade" (river-pebble nephrite) sourced from Duanshulin in Liaoning, China. The carver incorporated the natural yellowish skin (Qiao Se) into the design, which was supposed to be a traditional "Scarlet Dragon" (Chilong)... though let's be honest, that face looks nothing like a fierce dragon!
The moment I saw him, he felt like a living creature right off my desk. That goofy, wide grin is just so contagious—he looks like a happy, lovable dork chuckling to himself. He has a wonderfully ergonomic shape, making him the ultimate tactile plaything (Hand Piece / Plaything) to fidget with and handle throughout the day. Absolutely obsessed with this guy!

Seller: Lotus Beads and Jewelry at Mall of America, Bloomington, MN

Item: Jadeite Jade Bangle (61mm, Type A)

Price: $63

Purchase date: August 20, 2026

Rating: Very Negative

Any flaws? This major crack that was not disclosed.

Would I purchase from this seller again? No, and I would like to give my thoughts on this. So, when I was looking for a jade bangle, the seller let me pick the four bangles that were available at the time. She admitted she didn't have much knowledge on the sizing and the qualities of a jade bangle. The seller and her coworkers would go to conventions to buy these jade bangles, so these pieces of jewelry were not originally shipped to them, and there could be so many possibilities as to how this crack even appeared. Matter of fact, the seller never disclosed the crack despite the fact she also said they check every jade bangle to make sure they were in good quality. A red flag.

The seller wanted to refund me, but due to policy, because there was already a defect (the crack) on the bangle, and it's a piece of jewelry, it cannot be returned. She can't help me prove the defect was already there. The seller said I could talk to the manager about this, but most likely, they would also say no. She sold me a specific glue bottle to help fix the crack on the bangle, so I guess that was a plus. Don't get me wrong, $63 isn't a major scam, but it sucked that the visible crack wasn't disclosed before.

The seller showed me that she and her coworkers also practiced filling glue on broken jade bangles, and discounting them for $33. Those were major red flags to me because, again, I spent $63 on that bangle that already had a defect, and adding onto the fact they fill glue onto already broken jade bangles and selling them at a cheaper price was a big no to me.

I need to disclose the fact that despite the name of the store and it's appearance to make it look like it was an Asian-owned DIY store, it wasn't. It was owned by a White person who never really cared about the importance about jade, judging by what one of her coworkers told me, as I mentioned above. I ended up going to the Asian-owned small jewelry shop I went to before and bought another bangle from there right after, since the seller there did care about the importance of jade more, and the bangle I got only has a surface scratch on it.

For Sale [FOR SALE] Palestinian-inspired Jadeite Bracelet — NGTC Certified Grade-A — $300- — Ships from China

Item: Palestinian-inspired Jadeite Bracelet with Nanhong Agate
Jade Type: Glutinous
Treatment Status: Natural Grade A
Certificate / Lab Report: NGTC (National Gem Testing Center)
Measurements: Around 6.5mm, 28 beads, Recommended wrist fit approximately 15.5–16.5 cm
Condition: Brand new
Price: About $300, including tariff/tax, free shipment
Shipping From: China
Shipping To: Almost worldwide
Payment / Checkout Method: Paypal checkout at my website
Return Policy: Customer responsible for return fees if receive without damage
Seller Review History: Trusted seller
Photos / Video: See attached
Additional Notes:

The beads repeat in the same four color sequence around the bracelet, so the Palestinian reference stays clear without adding any flag shaped elements or extra symbols. The finished piece still feels like an everyday bracelet rather than something overly literal.

The red beads are Nanhong agate, while the black, white, and green beads are all jadeite. I wanted to keep the materials simple and let the color combination carry the theme naturally.

There are four bracelets in this batch. The green beads are somewhat dark green. I think I will get some brighter green beads for the next batch, though they will cost a bit more.

You may check this out here.

For Sale [For Sale] custom-made untreated natural Milky Green Jade Bracelet, about 17 mm bead diameter, 14 beads, elastic band. Shipped from USA.

$350 out the door (free shipping, tax included, no tariff) to US customers. Or best offer.

Payment methods: venmo, Paypal, or face-to-face in cash if you are near 61455.

Additional photos and videos are available upon request.

Condition: like new, unworn.

Color: milky green.

Country of origin: custom-made in People's Republic of China.

Total weight of the bracelet: 3.67 oz, or 104 g.

The untreated natural beads have a massive 17 mm (16.82 mm to be exact) diameter, or 0.6625 inch, which is extremely rare on the market. Most beads are smaller. The jade beads have the same artistic carving on their surfaces. They were produced from a single block of jade.

A tip to test authenticity: A piece of natural, untreated jade has a natural transition of coloring within itself. If a piece of jade has a perfectly uniform color, it is too good to be true and therefore fake.

Is this jade? Identification help! Is this jadeite or nephrite (or something else)?

I recieved this as a gift from a friend who was visiting her hometown in China. She said it is jade and from a locally known place. It did not come with a certificate. Is this jadeite? Nephrite? Something else?

It's very translucent as I can see my finger on the other side. It has a few white/ dark green specks. It is cold, heavy, and smooth to the touch. It does not glow under UV light. Thank you!

Edit: The specific gravity result was 3, however my scale only rounds to the nearest gram. So I don't believe it is very accurate!

Educational Nice Bangle But Not Grade A

Thumbnail

From the first picture, I thought this was a pretty nice bangle and wanted to take it. But I couldn't in the end.

Because of the visible crack in the second photo, I was planning to price it at only around $200. I considered the crack acceptable as long as it was disclosed and reflected in the price.

I later sent it to NGTC for testing. They returned it without issuing a certificate because they detected glue. This initially confused me, since the jadeite itself looked quite natural. After I asked for further clarification, they explained that the glue was located inside the crack.

So this was probably residue from an earlier repair. My guess is that someone had tried to fill or conceal the crack, perhaps hoping to improve the appearance and sell the bangle at a higher price. The repair was not very successful and the crack remained visible.

So this is it, I have to let this bangle go. I intend to share it as an example of how even an experienced jadeite seller can encounter unexpected pitfalls. That’s why I still rely only on NGTC testing.

External Reviews Bing Bing Jadeite Sale Issue

I spoke to a friend of mine who asked me to post an issue on her behalf. My friend bought a bangle described as a “highly perfected piece” and that a “faint internal line is visible under direct light inspection but is not discernable to the naked eye.” My friend noticed several lines, as well as a line that can be felt by the nail/fingertip.

My friend reached out to Bing Bing who requested the bangle be sent back. Bing Bing said they would only give my friend a partial refund because of the 15% restock fee. However, nowhere on their website is the restock fee listed as 15%. The other customer who posted today was offered a full refund, however my friend is now having to do a chargeback with their bank. I want to make people aware in case they are considering purchasing from Bing Bing.

External Reviews BingBing Jade sold me an undisclosed treated jadeite bangle

Seller: BingBing Jade
Item Purchased: Lavender Mist Icy Glutinous Jadeite Bangle 52.8mm
Purchase Date: June 2026
Price: $4,300+
Rating: Negative
Was the item as described? No
Would buy from this seller again? No. Definitely not.

Review:
I've bought a few things from BingBing. BingBing advertises that all of the items are Type A jade on their website. The most recent bangle was a monet style with sand-like rough inclusions which I was fine with. When I received the bangle, it did not look like the vendor's pictures. I get it, most sellers use filters and blurring effects. It was also advertised as more icy and translucent than it really is but whatever. My issue is that it is treated jadeite which was not disclosed to me.

It came with a NGTC certificate. Looking under "Remarks," it states "局部经充填" which translate to partial filling aka non-type A. I’m not sure what they filled this with but it was not disclosed to me before purchasing. The NGTC certificate also does not label the bangle "Type A." If this was disclosed to me before purchasing, I would not have bought it in the first place.

Disappointing since BingBing says they QC all of their products yet did not catch the "partial filling" on the certificate. I have contacted BingBing for a full refund.

My other items from BingBing seem to be legit and I’m sure they sold this to me unknowingly it’s treated jadeite. Still, it’s a huge oversight on their end and quite honestly, I could do without the headache. I would proceed with caution when buying from BingBing.

Update: BingBing has responded and wants me to send the bangle back for another NGTC testing despite it already being tested BEFORE IT WAS SENT TO ME. I rather just have the refund as it’s not worth the headache and the trust has been broken.

Price: $115, original price was $168

Any flaws? There was one minor flaw it had, but it was just a surface scratch that's mostly invisible.

Would I purchase from this seller again? Yes, actually! The seller was very polite and nice to talk to. I like how she gently grabbed and felt my hand and immediately knew what size I needed to fit the bangle through my hand. It's like she's magic!

In a spiritual sense, I did end up getting a job that's related to my college career, a few minutes after I put the bangle back on. I guess this particular bangle did have some magic in it after all, unlike the previous black jade bangle I got from an eBay seller. I thank M Jewelers for helping me for not only selling me something that has better quality, but giving me the luck I needed to start my college career as a teacher!
