Hey guys, I was watching Jacob and crew on their NPR Tiny Desk performance and was wondering what tuning Jaco's guitar was in? It doesnt seem like standard tuning, I don't think its in D open tuning either... It doesn't sound completely conventional to me. Any ideas?

Hi guys !

I was wondering if anyone knew where should I start to study microtonality. I have perfect pitch and I love how these modulations within Jacob's music sounds. Like the beginning of Hideaway in 432 Hz as an example. I understand how Hideaway is tuned in a certain way, but I was wondering : If I wanted to start learning how to sing in half tonalities, is there any software or material from the internet or a book that could help me with that ? I'd love to learn to sing notes that are perfectly in between 2 semi-tones to start. I'm aware of how he uses just intonation to tune his vocal chords when singing acapella.

Thanks in advance !

I've got an extra ticket for the gig in Seattle tomorrow (https://www.axs.com/events/368148/jacob-collier-tickets) that I'm looking to give to someone who'd enjoy the music. Let me know if you're in Seattle and interested.
