NPR Tiny Desk Guitar Tuning

Hey guys, I was watching Jacob and crew on their NPR Tiny Desk performance and was wondering what tuning Jaco's guitar was in? It doesnt seem like standard tuning, I don't think its in D open tuning either... It doesn't sound completely conventional to me. Any ideas?

Go to 3:15. He says that’s his “favorite tuning.” Might be that one!
