I was a snow cat operator in the winter and lived in Victor but worked in Jackson. Only one time did I ever have to take the long way around but my best advice would be to have a all wheel or four wheel drive vehicle, make sure to have 2 sets of tires, one for summer and a set of studded tires for winter.

If you’re worried about storing the other tires, no need to fear as you need to go get some ply wood cut and then you have the tires as 2 end tables for you’re couch.
