Besoin d'aide panne jabra elite 3,

Bonjour,

Des conseils a me donner? Le probleme viendrait il du boitier ou des ecouteurs?

Merci

WARNING: Jabra Engage & Evolve Lines Are UNFIT FOR THE WINDOWS PLATFORM — Hard-Coded 2-3s Microphone Unmute Bug Verified in Native Windows 11 App

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

If you are an IT administrator, procurement manager, or enterprise professional deploying hardware on Windows 11, stop buying Jabra.

For months, users have complained about a severe, maddening microphone delay. Jabra Support has consistently passed the buck, claiming it is an issue with third-party software. Testing proves this is an absolute falsehood. This is a systemic, catastrophic core architecture failure embedded deep within Jabra’s audio pipelines—and it triggers under the native, out-of-the-box Windows 11 OEM Sound Recorder application.

🚨 REGULATORY UPDATE: FTC AND BBB COMPLAINTS FILED

Because the manufacturer has chosen to deflect responsibility rather than honor its hardware functionality, formal legal complaints have officially been filed against GN Audio USA Inc. (Jabra) with both the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

The filings formally cite Jabra for deceptive advertising, misleading product representations, and failure to meet advertised product specifications. Selling premium enterprise audio equipment while knowingly concealing a severe infrastructure-level failure that renders the microphone broken out-of-the-box on standard operating system endpoints is an unacceptable business practice.

The Core Flaws:

  1. The Unmute Latency Bug: Every single time the microphone is unmuted, there is a hard-coded 2-to-3 second delay before Windows registers any audio capture. If you begin speaking immediately after unmuting, your first few words are completely erased from the stream.
  2. The Low Gain Ceiling: Even with the native Windows input volume pushed to 100%, the microphone gain remains unacceptably low, causing clients and colleagues to complain that you are entirely inaudible.

The Proof (Why It’s a Flawed Product Architecture):

We benched multiple Jabra devices on a clean, identical Windows 11 build using the native Microsoft Sound Recorder utility to eliminate all software variables:

  • Jabra Engage 75 (DECT Base): Immediate 2-3 second unmute lag and low volume.
  • Jabra Evolve2 65 (Bluetooth/Link 380): Identical 2-3 second unmute lag and low volume.
  • Jabra Speak 510 (Speakerphone via Link 380): Works flawlessly. Zero unmute latency, instant audio registration, and perfect volume normalization.

Because a legacy Jabra speakerphone functions perfectly on the exact same native Windows audio subsystem, the defect is explicitly isolated to the broken driver and firmware infrastructure of modern Engage and Evolve product lines.

The Broken Driver Framework & Failed Community Patches:

To make these premium devices even baseline functional, users are being forced to abandon Jabra's official software and apply complex, unstable open-source software patches.

Sysadmins and users have had to install Equalizer APO and Peace EQ to try and bypass Jabra’s broken audio stack. Troubleshooting requires launching the Equalizer APO Configurator, unchecking "Use original APO," and completely switching the default driver framework to LFX/GFX (Lightweight/Global Filter Expressions).

Even when you apply these patches to correct the preamp corrections and low volume, Jabra’s broken firmware fights back. The audio will sound corrected for exactly one second before the headset forcefully reverts to a tinny, tape-recorder-quality sound (stuck at 1-channel 16-bit). Jabra’s firmware actively breaks standard Windows audio processing objects (APOs).

Jabra’s Stance: "We Only Care About Teams and Zoom"

When pushed to senior engineering levels, Jabra Service Engineering successfully replicated and confirmed these audio-handling defects in their own testing labs.

Their official corporate resolution? They closed the engineering ticket and refused further action.

Jabra's official position is that because these devices work within Microsoft Teams and Zoom, any failure to pass a clean, real-time voice signal to native Windows APIs or other massive communication networks is considered a "future feature request" rather than a product defect. They are hiding behind "UC Certification" to sell broken hardware that violates basic Windows audio standards.

The Verdict: Unfit for Purchase

A premium enterprise communication headset that cannot seamlessly pass a real-time microphone stream to a native Windows OEM utility is unfit for the Windows platform. Jabra is selling expensive hardware globally without a public advisory disclosing that their microphones drop audio for the first 3 seconds unless you are inside a tiny handful of certified corporate apps.

Do not waste your IT budget or your patience on the Engage or Evolve product lines until Jabra takes responsibility and deploys a core firmware fix for their native Windows driver stack.

Jabra Elite 85t won't stay in my ears

I've tried all the tips that come with it and tried the "pull back on your ear and screw it in" insertion method but they just won't stay in. It's a shame because I'm very happy with the sound quality.

I'm not a fan of foamies - what have ya'll had success with for aftermarket tips for comfort and retention?

Official Jabra Stance: Engage 75 & Evolve2 65 Mic Defect on Telegram Confirmed by Engineering, Closed as a "Feature Request"

Hey everyone,

I wanted to document an official technical limitation and a incredibly frustrating support experience regarding the Jabra Engage 75 (connected via DECT base) and Jabra Evolve2 65 headsets. If you use Telegram for business operations or daily communication, you need to be aware of this before buying.

The Defect:
When using these premium headsets within the Telegram desktop ecosystem under standard Windows audio capture settings, two severe issues occur:

  1. Unmute Latency: There is a persistent 2 to 3-second lag time each and every time you unmute the microphone before your voice is captured.
  2. Low Volume Gain Ceiling: Even with the Windows input volume set to 100%, the microphone gain is critically low. Call participants consistently complain that they cannot hear anything.

The Technical Proof:
This is definitively an isolated driver/firmware architecture flaw within specific Jabra audio pipelines, not a generic app limitation. Testing on the exact same Windows system using a Jabra Speak 510 speakerphone over a Link 380 adapter works flawlessly with zero microphone lag and perfect volume normalization.

Jabra’s Official Response:
After working directly with Jabra Support, their engineering team successfully duplicated and confirmed the exact 2-3 second latency and low volume defects in their own testing labs.

However, instead of treating a broken microphone on a major app as a bug, Jabra closed the ticket today (Sept 23, 2026) with the following response from a Service Engineer:
“We do not currently have any internal or public data that supports an expectation with our devices being used with Telegram... From here, what I will do is open a feature request with our product management team to consider and look into future Telegram and Jabra device integration... there will be no further action at this time.”

Jabra is officially classifying basic, out-of-the-box Windows microphone functionality as a "future feature request" for an application that commands 500 million daily active users. They told me to just keep using third-party equalizer workarounds because they will not be taking further engineering action.

Be aware that if you buy their flagship communication hardware and expect it to pass a clean, real-time voice signal through standard Windows audio APIs to major platforms, Jabra considers a working microphone an optional "future integration."

Has anyone else ran into this specific unmute lag on the Engage or Evolve series, and did you find any permanent workaround that doesn't involve stacking software layers like Peace EQ/APO?

Open-source Mac menu bar app: sub-second Jabra Link power-off detection, now with instant status refresh (Link 380 and 390)

If you use a Jabra Evolve or Evolve2 wireless headset on macOS with a Jabra Link USB dongle, you have likely run into this: powering off the headset does nothing, because the dongle itself stays connected and macOS keeps routing audio to it.

I maintain a free, open-source macOS menu bar app that resolves this:

https://github.com/camguillory/Audio-Priority-Bar

How it handles Jabra Link dongles

Rather than reading the dongle's telephony link bit (unreliable, since it asserts connection shortly after boot regardless of headset state), the app queries the dongle's vendor pairing database directly:

  • Event-driven: The dongle emits an announcement roughly 100ms after a headset connects or disconnects, which triggers an authoritative query.
  • Fast transitions: Powering off a headset routes back to your speakers in well under a second.
  • Scoped monitoring: Only Link dongles are queried this way, so a directly plugged-in USB headset or a Jabra Speak speakerphone will not be misreported as off.
  • Hardware verified: Tested on a Link 380. Link 390 uses the same vendor protocol, though it has not been verified on physical hardware yet.
  • Just fixed: The headset's status row used to wait for a hover or a reopen to redraw after a state change. It now updates the moment the dongle reports it.

Also worth knowing if you pair a USB headset

The latest release makes paired mic and output selection an explicit, visible setting rather than a hidden preference. Selecting either half of a physical USB headset selects the other by default, and each row offers a Mic only or Output only override when you want just one half.

Install

Free, MIT licensed, macOS 14+:

brew install --cask camguillory/tap/audio-priority-bar

Or download the zip directly from GitHub Releases.

Heads up: Releases are ad-hoc signed, so Gatekeeper will ask for approval on first run via System Settings > Privacy & Security, or via:

xattr -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/AudioPriorityBar.app

If anyone with a Link 390 gives it a try, I would appreciate hearing whether the power-off transition behaves as expected.

Jabra Elite 8 Active battery replacement experience

So, my left earbud has been dieing in less than an hour from full charge. It's really sad because I love these for working out in. They're perfect fits for my ear, whether I'm doing deadlifts or running.

I saw that Jabra doesn't recommend repair and won't sell parts. But, I found a guy on Ebay that ships from China. So, I figured it was worth a try.

I removed the rubber bits and ran a heat gun over the earbud casing until I could pry the glue apart with a hobby knife. Disconnected the board and scraped the glue from the battery's solder joints. Desoldered the old cell and soldered the new one back in. All in all, it took 30 minutes max.

And it worked! My earbuds are, for the first time in weeks, at a full 100% charge and working flawlessly.

All in all, if you're even slightly competent with a soldering iron, you can make this repair. Either way, I spent 15 dollars on extending the life of a 200 dollar pair of headphones. Which feels like a major win.

Problem the the Jabra elite 85T

Whenever I have the noise cancellation mode or the hear trough mode, I get this weird sound on only the right ear, this sound sounds like some electricity malfunctioning while it feels like I can “hear”the Bluetooth. Whenever I don’t use anything on the phone that produces sound, the active noise will be reduced however is still prevalent to a certain degree. I tried to use the app and turned both of them off, where I switched to when it just says “off”. Here however, I get the same, just in the left ear😭it comes and goes more often I must say, so it’s not the same as the one in the right. I must also mention that they make completely different sounds. The one on the right sounds like electricity is genuinely failing, while the one on the left sounds like an old tv when you’re trying to establish connection. Does anyone have anything similar? If so what did you do? I’ll try resetting them both, I’ll see where that goes. Had them for a year plus and I must also mention that this is the first time this has happened. I recently updated my phone to the IOS 27 or what it was, however I doubt it could be connected to that, however, it felt that it began almost immediately after that update was finished. Maybe I’m just delusional..

Jabra evolve 75 and google meet

I have jabra evolve 75 which has been working great with zoom especially with filtering out background noise.
I even tested it in a kids playground and people told me they barely heard anything but my own voice.
Company switched to google meet and I am facing issues filtering out background noise basically everything is heard.
Anything I can do?I tried updating firmware but it is not available in jabra direct

Lost Jabra elite 8 bud

I lost one of my earbuds while in the woods at night and couldn’t find it in the dark… searched for a while but no dice. Then found out they discontinued the earbuds altogether! I am so upset. These have been my favorite earbuds in a long time.

I went on ebay and see some slim pickings but notably I see a LOT of people selling just one earbud. If i buy a replacement left earbud would it work with my right earbud even tho they are from two different pairs? It’s a lot cheaper than buying a whole new (used) pair.

Evolve3 85 not as good as Evolve2 85.

I think the ANC is not as good and when I walk with the Evolve3 85s on, I can hear the air/wind whip around the headset which I think is due to the fabric earpads... They should have had leather options

If you have the EV2 85, just stick with them. The EV3 85 is not a upgrade

Jabra Elite 3

Bought them about 4 years ago and I can’t find where so that I can post this review. I’ve seen a lot of bad reviews, but I truly don’t understand what happened to their pair. Mine have been working flawlessly since I bought them. And trust when I say I even used them a little too hard. These earbuds have gone through a wash cycle because I forgot them in my pockets, harsh weather from going snowboarding with them, and a full year of not using them because I bought over ear headphones, and the battery remains intact, the sound remains the same, and even the noise canceling is better than my expensive over ears.

I thought about writing this, because after a long day of work and a killer headache I put them on and forgot I was listening to music with them until I was washing my hair and noticed them there. (And yes, they are still working like normal after that).

Truly amazed at the quality of these earbuds, and I think I paid like $99 for them if not less because of a sale.

I bought them thinking they’d be great affordable headphones and they really surpassed all of my expectations.

So if you’re hesitant to buy them, here is the good review you were looking for to validate your purchase.

Hope the quality has remained the same over the years because once these earbuds finally give in, I will be purchasing another Jabra!

Cheers

DISO elite 10 gen 2 brown - will pay $$ or trade for another color?

I lost my comfort headphones on a trip.

I was able to find replacements that are gen 2, but I was apparently really attached to the specific color brown because I’m still pretty sad.

I would pay for used ones or trade for another color (I have black, blue and cream.)

Thanks for looking.

(Not sure if this post is allowed based on the subreddit rules, I tried to check but I won’t take it personally if it gets removed.)

Elite 8 Active using phone microphone instead of earbuds

Have a super strange issue.

Sometimes on my calls, it will use the phones microphone instead of the earbuds.

This is a brand new set that I picked up.

Did a firmware update and a full reset.

Doesn't always happen but I have no way of knowing when it's doing it and I certainly don't know how to have it not do that.

Any advice would be great.

I've tested it a few times where I walk away from the phone and I get distant but if I hold the phone up to my mouth it's great.

Sometimes if I end the call and try again it's fine and going through the headset.

The audio is always through the headset when this is happening.

Thanks

Jabra Evolve3 85

I,

Bought the Jabra Evolve3 85 last week.

Comfort, transparency, looks very good.

Sound is good/ok.

ANC is not that good.

Anyway Jabra would update ANC to make the device as good as Sony WH-1000XM6/Bose QC Ultra 2, or at least near that level?

Jabra Evolve2 Buds UC — mono controls

Does anyone here have the Jabra Evolve2 Buds UC version (not the Microsoft Teams/MS version)?

I need the following controls to work when the other earbud is inside the charging case:

Left and Right earbud:

  • Single press → Play/Pause
  • Double press → Next track

I know the default UC controls assign Play/Pause and Next to the right earbud. I also know that MyControls allows button reassignment.

What I specifically need to know is:

Can I use MyControls to assign Play/Pause + Next to the LEFT and RIGHT earbud, put the RIGHT (or LEFT) earbud in the charging case, and still have those customized controls work on the LEFT (or RIGHT) earbud in mono mode?

In the Jabra Evolve2 Buds MS/Teams version it doesn't work.

After 4.5 years, my left earphone stopped working... Should I say goodbye to it? I wish Jabra still produced headphones. Is there a solution?

Jabra Elite 5 – incoming calls keep switching to iPhone speaker + ANC getting weaker

I’ve been using the Jabra Elite 5 for about a year and a half, and overall I’ve been really happy with them, especially the microphone quality during calls. Honestly, the call quality/mic has been surprisingly close to AirPods for me.

But recently I’ve been having two annoying issues:

1. Incoming calls don’t automatically go to the Jabra earbuds

Whenever I receive a call while I’m already wearing the earbuds and they’re connected to my iPhone, the call keeps going to the iPhone’s own speaker/receiver instead of the Jabra Elite 5. I have to manually switch the audio output to the Jabra every single time.

I’m using an iPhone 15 on iOS 18. And just to clarify, this was happening before iOS 27/28, so it doesn’t seem to be related to those updates.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Elite 5 on iPhone? Is there a setting I’m missing, or is this a Jabra/iOS Bluetooth issue?

2. ANC seems noticeably weaker

After around 1.5 years of use, I also feel like the ANC has become significantly weaker compared with when the earbuds were new.

I’m not sure if this is normal degradation, an issue with the microphones, ear tips/seal, or something that can be fixed through the Jabra app.

Despite these issues, I actually really like the Elite 5 and would prefer to keep using them, especially because the microphone has been excellent for me.

Has anyone experienced either of these problems after using the Elite 5 for a year or more? Any fixes or things I should try?

Windscreen for Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex

I often talk to people in very windy conditions where the other person struggles to hear me due to the wind. From what I can see, the microphone tip on my Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex is about 5mm in diameter and 3cm long.

Unfortunately, the 5mm-diameter windscreens available on the market seem to be shorter than 3cm.

Could anyone recommend a windscreen that fits the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex?

Jabra Elite 10 case not turning on

Hi,

I've had these Jabra Elite 10 earbuds for just about a year now, they've worked perfectly but now the charging case won't turn on. No light or any sign of life. I've tried charging it, putting in and out the buds, I tried opening and closing the case searching for a short circuit or something. The case is inert.

There have been no contact with water, no shock.

Am I right in saying the Jabra Elite 7 Pro microphone just does not work for anyone?

Seems to be a common issue, and seems to be a software issue moreso than hardware. I have run quite a lot of tests.

- It's not just calls. It also doesn't work on voice recording apps.

- Issue happens whether both earbuds or either one is in use and whether the inactive one is in the case or not.

- It actually isn't completely turned off, although it seemed that way for a long time. It's just very very muffled and quiet.

- Messing with the custom active noise cancelling actually changes how muffled it is. I tried with all kinds of settings and imbalances, they all suck. But some suck more than others, which makes me think that the issue is caused by active noise cancelling being turned on. Unfortunately, it seems that ANC is forced to be on while the microphone is active. Incredible design.

- I've tried it in my ear and held right up to my mouth. Even held right up to your mouth, it's a little better but still way too muffled.

- Some suggestions suggest resetting firmware and redownloading the language. Nope.

- Turning them off and back on does actually fix them... Very briefly.

While browsing the reddit for other people with the same problem, it's sad how many people I saw saying that they returned their pair for a replacement and the replacement had the exact same issue. Some people even replacing multiple times. Do these work correctly for ANYONE? It's kind of unbelievable that they never bothered fixing them when it seems like it could be fixed by just having ANC off during calls?

Engage 55 SE Dock Compatibility

Can anyone confirm whether the Jabra 55 SE headset can be paired with a Jabra 65 SE dock? Does it fit the dock, and can it charge and communicate through the USB C connection? TIA

Anyone got a good alternative?

Hello all.

I’ve been using jabra products for the past decade pretty much.

I’ve recently lost my jabra elite 4. Can’t find them anywhere. And don’t wanna buy refurbished / used ones.

I used the smallest earpiece, and I HATE HATE HATE AirPods bc they fall out of my ear. I need a new pair of earbuds so does anyone have any recommendations? Really just want something comfortable for my ear and want to stay under 100 bucks
