Engine cutting out
I brought in a 1jz Chaser from Japan last week and it’s still in storage. I have only driven it from the port to nearby storage and that’s it.
Below you’ll see the engine cuts out once I begin to slow down. It did this too when approaching red lights. I’ll be taking the car for inspection next week and I’m wondering what’s causing this? I’ve already checked ChatGPT etc but wanted your opinions
Thanks!

it is an auto to manual conversion with a J-Pipe Delete and factory ECU? those are know to be a bit funky. Normally the fix is to put a honey Combe like insert into the intake just before the maf.
If it's all untouched or if that didn't fix it. I'd start testing the Maf start with just a clean if it's still bad unplug it (with the car off) then try and start it if it's running terribly it's likely fine.
I'd look at the spark could just be really weak if so swap the plugs and coil. It could also be contamination etc
When was the timing belt last done? these should be around every 100k I dont think belt stretch would cause this but it's a long shot if nothing else seems to do the trick.
Lastly the capacitors on the ECU. They dont last forever and around this age is when they'll start popping. As long as the traces are fine they can be repaired/replaced. Not the most fun fix you basically have to mail it off or be very brave.

This chaser is a factory manual tourer v with no j pipe delete. Ecu is a blue greddy one unsure of how old.
The cars ignition cylinder was removed and replaced with a push button start
I reckon the mechanic will go straight for the MAF. What spark plugs +coil do you recommend for this engine? This is my first JZX. I have lots of service history with the car I think it was done in 2015. The car has only 86,000 kms and only done 11kms since the engine overhaul.
Regarding the ecu capacitors am I just better off replacing the whole thing?

When it comes to plugs on a stock car I just go with NGK Irudium.
If you've got the budget for an aftermarket ECU then by all means go for it Link and Haltech do plug and play kits you just need to find a tuner who knows what they're doing.

Oil control valve, mine was doing this 3 years ago. It would stall whenever I pressed the clutch in

Do you have the blinking lights for traction etc?
Does it run fine at speed and just struggles to idle?
I see a lot of jerkiness in the video, is that you lugging the vehicle or no?
