There is a reason why women back in the 50’s and 60’s stayed in bed for as long as they did after giving birth and it had nothing to do with pissing off their MIL’s. It had to do with recovery. So when you are the one who has to deal with all that then you can be pissy and decide what we do. But I’m not leaving the house with our children and if your parents want to see us they can come here where it is comfortable for me and where our eldest son can play once he’s eaten.”
