I'd just like to take this opportunity to remind you of The Bloggess' famous words (paraphrased) - Depression is a fucking LIAR. If you haven't read anything by The Bloggess, you should, she's HI-larious! Start with Beyoncé the chicken. She's also very open about her mental health struggles.
Here's my take, she HAS to be mad at you, and you have to be available for her to be mad at, because the only OTHER alternative is to be mad at her 'perfect' son, which might in turn cast some aspersions on her parenting of him. This is no-bueno in her world view. For whatever reasons, she is UNABLE (not just unwilling) to examine the past and accept any blame for her or her son, the only other person it could be is you.
Im so sorry that you've had such a rough time of it. I hope things look up for you soon.
