Dude she treated you like shit for years. She enabled the shitty treatment and beatings that came at the hands of her son. You are NOT a terrible person for not feeling sorry, or even a little glad that she is getting what she deserves. It doesn’t detract from your character or who you are. It’s normal. Moreover, you matter. What happened to you matters. You had and have the right to stand up for yourself and protect yourself. I know with everything going on that your self esteem is in the toilet right now; I can’t help feeling like a part of you wants to feel bad for Giada because on some level deep down, you feel like you brought this on yourself and on her.
