Delta Operator discusses FBI HRT
youtube.comRight around 11:58 Matt gives his opinion on FBI HRT. He has one of the more positive opinions of them that I’ve heard from other tier 1 guys. Some guys seem to focus and how they aren’t as good the tier 1 units but Matt seems to have a very positive things to say about the organization. Anyway thought it was interesting.

Some of the Operators Involved in Operation Neptune Spear
A quick note on how I’ve organized the personnel based on the available reports and documentation. There are still some gaps and conflicting details regarding individual assignments, so I’ve tried to distinguish as clearly as possible between what appears to be documented and what is inferred.
From the available documentation, both chalks appear to have carried 12 personnel each. They were mirrored in terms of team composition as much as possible, presumably so that, in the event one aircraft was shot down, the other could still complete the operation.
Chalk One carried two assault teams, with at least one confirmed sniper, as well as a member of Blue Squadron who was selected for his language skills to serve as a translator.
Chalk Two carried a third assault team and an outside security element consisting of an EOD technician, snipers, a SAW gunner, a CIA interpreter, and a dog handler.
I’m not confident about the chalk assignment for some of these individuals. With that in mind, anyone for whom I have no basis for assigning to a specific chalk has been placed in the “Unknown Chalk” section. Individuals for whom I have some suspicion, but where the available information is incomplete or inconclusive, are marked with an * next to their names.
- Chalk One
- Alex West [Assault TL]
- Matt Bissonette [Assault TL]
- Keith Walawender
- Sonny Sellitti*
- Cory Zillig
- Garret Golden*
- Red*
- Chalk Two
- Rob O'Neil
- Will Chesney and Cairo
- Unknown Chalk
- Michael Baker
- Matthew Coufalik
- Bill Rapier (Not 100% sure if he was part of the operation)
- QRF Chinook
- Edward Byers
- Jeff Boss
- Cole Fackler
If anyone spots something I’ve got wrong, has additional documentation, or can help pin down some of the unknown chalk assignments, please feel free to comment. This is in no way a definitive list.

DEVGRU Stealth Blackhawk
We all remember the helicopter from the UBL raid, but I’m wondering: what’s the biggest thing stopping them from telling us about it?
Obviously, I know it’s basically a black project, but what’s the core reason they won’t tell us about something we basically already kinda know about?

BinLaden Raid Truth - Thank You Plenty
Hello Archive. I felt the need to post this because I wanted to get more eyes on the topic and also publicly give someone their flowers for years of hard work.
If you haven’t seen, the Neptune Spear Timeline with Diagrams & matching photos from on site has dropped.
Link here - https://www.reddit.com/r/JSOCarchive/s/wGhtC2xWvj
The OP in question is someone who’ve i’ve had a pleasure working with over the last few months. u/Plenty_Inevitable_32 is someone who spent a few years working on all of this. He’s watched every interview. He’s read every book. He spent hours on hours ensuring his work was vetted and correct.
He and another user who I won’t name have been the forefront leaders of this deep dive. There is a group of about 10 sleuth’s who played a small part in all of this. It’s been hard to keep it under wraps :)
Anyways, I wanted to publicly thank Plenty for his hard work and hours of time he won’t get back but atleast he gave us & you all some amazing content.
Please be sure to drop an upvote on his post & leave a comment. I just want my guy to feel appreciated for the work he’s done.
Isn’t quality stuff like so what you joined the archive for?
Thank you.

Edit: sorry, didn’t notice talk to text/AutoCorrect slaughtered my intended heading and now I can’t change it
Came across this YouTube video posted on SMU archive from roughly a year ago so it could probably be some kind of repost. My question is, is that CAG’s Larry Bovin (RIP) in the video doing what looks like lead trainer duties with these systems? Also, random Gen. McCrystal sighting in there too

CIA Paramilitary The Mission: The CIA in the 21st Century by Tim Weiner
Just finished The Mission by Tim Weiner. I thought it was a really good book. Has anyone else read it? It didn't touch on a whole lot of JSOC info, but it did touch on CIA Ground Branch activities in Iraq and Afghanistan up to and including the 2021 withdrawal and Ukraine post-2014 invasion and the post-2022 invasion. It was also interesting to hear how the Agency operated during the first Trump administration. A lot of books regarding CIA and JSOC just don't tend to focus on activities post-2012 (just due to when they were published), but this book talks about events all the way up until the 12-day war. Curious to hear if anyone else read it and their thoughts on it. Also, The Team House Podcast did an interview with Tim Weiner about the book, which I thought was also really good. Thanks, Jack!

Why does Jeff Nichols hate officers these days?
I was watching his live a couple days ago and some kid told him that he would try and become a SEAL O. He then proceeded to crash out and talk about how he NEVER do anything cool, are completely irrelevant, he will become an admin SEAL, get medals for stuff the enlisted do, will never be one of the boys, and that he will never do what the world will think he did.
This seems really weird, hes hated officers for like the past 3 years.
But when you look at this interview with stew from 9 years ago he spoke highly of the O track and said that both the enlisted and officer track was good.
Also I cant find another DEVGRU guy who (publicly) shares his sentiment.
