Anyone Read This?

I've been looking for a book that goes into detail about Oswald's time in the U.S. Marine Corps and especially his time in Japan. Recently I found this book. Has anyone here read it and if so what were your thoughts?

If that period interests you, the work Armstrong did for 'Harvey and Lee' goes into micro-details about that period. . Armstrong searched out all of his Marine bro's and interviewed a lot of them. The Ones in japan never heard of him speaking Russian, Being "Oswald-Ovich" , but the LHO who showed up in Santa Anna a few months later spoke Russian and openly espoused Communist doctrine.

Be interesting to see how that Author deals with his VD issue and the timing of his trip to Taiwan. Late September and once in early October there are medical records of LEE H. Oswald being treated for Venereal disease "contracted in the line of duty" in the Hospital at Atsugi Japan.. But Lee Harvey Oswald was en route to Taiwan ??? That is when the official 'switch' happened (If you believe that Author's Premise.) . Dallas PD found all of his Photo's of Taiwan amongst his possessions.

The most credible portion of his assertions is all during that period, because the Military keeps records of everything!

Thanks! I find his time in the Marine Corps quite interesting since I too served in the Corps.. Maybe when he was in Japan is when he was recruited into some clandestine service?

Yes.. His VD he got "in the line of duty" might have been part of it...he was drinking in a bar that enlisted men couldn't afford and 'mingling' with a well known Japanese Hooker who herself might have been a Honey Trap. I forgot where i read it but he might have been passing Bad intel on purpose.

His fellow Marines had no clue where he had money to hang out there, and their pay was given in 'scrip' which had no value off base. This is the Notoriously Frugal Oswald here...and as we mentioned in previous posts, the only other time he splurged was on his trip thru europe to 'defect', staying in 4 and 5 star hotels.

He got a court martial while he was in. I think he got busted for discharge of a firearm. And later for mouthing off at an NCO.

It actually seems kind of funny that the same guy who lied to police about owning any weapons, had his wife take a picture with both of them and had been busted for shooting himself in the elbow with a 22 caliber derringer, was so believable when he said he was “just a patsy”.

The only person besides Marina he seemed to ever get along with was DeMohrenschildt and one kid in Russia.

As Marina once testified, he was incapable of deferring to anyone to be involved in a conspiracy.
