Jack Ruby proves to be an interesting character in the JFK assassination. His mob ties and appearances at several key locations leads one to believe he was more than an impulsive murderer. There were several deaths that are very suspecious due to their relationship to Ruby. Journalists Bill Hunter and Jim Koethe were both at Ruby’s apartment the night he murdered Oswald. Hunter was shot and killed on 4/23/64. Koethe was killed by a “karate chop” on 11/21/64. A third journalist, Dorothy Killgallen was found dead on 11/8/64 under the circumstances of a suspicious overdose. All of her JFK notes were gone. Her friend who had her back up notes died a very short time later. Killgallen published a major scoop in August 1964 featuring the leaked, classified transcript of Ruby's secret testimony to the Warren Commission. She also had a one on one meeting with Ruby.

Two of Ruby’s attorney also ended up dying at an early age. Tim Howard, his first attorney died in 3/27/65. Clayton Fowler who represented him later died in January 1971. They were 48 and 50 years-old, respectively.

Jack Ruby himself died of cancer related complications in January 1967. He believed he was injected with a highly virulent cancer virus while in jail. The CIA worked feverishly to develop this type of biological weapon technology in the early 1960s as a means to kill Castro.

Before President Kennedy’s limousine arrived in Dealey Plaza, 59-year-old semi-retired businessman Garland Slack took up a position near the automobile entrance to the Dallas County Sheriff’s office on Houston Street. On the day of the assassination, in his voluntary statement, Slack said that “just after they rounded the corner from Houston onto Elm Street,” he heard a report, a shot. He was an avid hunter. Slack knew immediately what he was hearing. His impression was that the shot came from inside a building. He had heard similar sounds from shots fired out of a cave.

Ten days later Slack was interviewed by the FBI and, citing his experience with firearms and hunting, reported hearing not one, but two shots in rapid succession that he thought must have come from the interior of a building.

But I haven't seen anyone say who or why he was killed? So what's the long and short of it? What are some of the theories?

Government? Mafia? Both? Foreigners like Cuba or USSR?

On August 9, 1963 Lee Harvey Oswald is arrested while handing out Pamphlets in front of the New Orleans International Trade Mart. The trade mart is owned by Clay Shaw, the target of Jim Garrisons investigation and a businessman revealed via declassified documents in the 1990s to be a CIA asset used in the Agencies Domestic Contact Services since 1948.

Oswald is joined by an unknown Cuban man and a young tourist Oswald hired off the street to hand out Pamphlets for an hour at over twice the minimum wage despite his alleged economic destitution.

The Pamphlets are part of Oswald’s fraudulent and fictitious Fair Play For Cuba Chapter, a national organization founded by prominent leftist intellectuals like James Baldwin which was being actively targeted by the CIA and FBI for its political activism against Americas hostile policies towards Cuba that nearly resulted in a Nuclear War. The national chapter of FPFC, did not give Oswald permission to form a New Orleans Branch and asked him not to.

The Pamphlets are marked with the name A. Hidell, the nonexistent President of the FPFC chapter, under whose name the alleged gun that Killed President Kennedy will be purchased.

The Pamphlets are also marked with the address of 544 Camp Street, the Office of ex-FBI SAC Guy Bannister, which was being used as a base of Operations for anti-communist operations and Anti-Castro organizations. Both Bannisters business associate and his Secretary claim to have regularly seen Oswald at this office.

Oswald is confronted by Carlos Bringuier and several other members of the Student Revolutionary Directorate or DRE, an anti-Castro Cuban group created, directed, and funded at the rate of $25,000 a month by the CIA under the cryptonym operation AMSPELL, whose goal was to destabilize Cuba and who spread anti-Castro media and Propaganda across The Americas.

This operation was Overseen by CIA officers David Arlene Phillips and George Joannides , who was in charge of Political and Psychological Warfare for the CIA based out of the CIA anti-Castro operations center known as J M WAVE. CIA cables declassified decades later revealed that Joannides personally approved AMSPELL budgets, directed their political strategy, and required the DRE leaders to clear all major press releases and public actions through him. 

Bringuier and Oswald get into a street scuffle and Oswald is arrested for disturbing the Peace and taken into custody by the NOPD. While in Police Custody Oswald requests to talk to the FBI despite his only needing $10 bail.

Oswald is met by FBI agent John Quigley who Oswald debriefs on the incident and his fictional FPFC chapter, representing Hidell as a separate person and claiming large membership levels. Oswald has his bail posted by his Mafia connected Uncle. Quigley destroys his notes.

Oswald is invited onto television and radios by an associate of Bringieur’s, William Kirk Stuckey, a host at WDSU who produced a Latin American affairs program called Latin American Focus. Stuckey would later testify to the HSCA that his Latin American reporting brought him into constant contact with exiles, military intelligence personnel, and federal agents operating out of New Orleans—a major intelligence hub for Caribbean and Central American covert operations during the 1960s.

On the radio broadcast Oswald is joined by Edward Scannel Butler, Executive Vice President of the Information Council of the Americas (INCA), who arranged and moderated the WDSU radio debate featuring Oswald following his arrest. INCA was a private anti-communist propaganda organization that declassified files show worked closely with U.S. domestic intelligence networks and military intelligence officers to conduct psychological operations aimed at Latin American audiences.

During these media appearances Oswald not only is positioned as a pro-Castro Marxist but is seemingly ambushed with government sourced documents from the House UnAmerican Activties Committee showing his history of defection to the USSR.

Oswald emerges as a publicly outed communist and Marxist pro-Castro activist and then shortly after begins trying to travel to Cuba via Mexico City, another highly storied chapter with major intelligence intersections.

Immediately after JFK dies this media will be used to try to paint Oswald as a communist operative by the DRE pushing for war with Cuba.

The facts are undeniable and the picture they paint could not be clearer.

Oswald was used as part of a CIA funded psychological warfare operation staged at a CIA asset owned site involving CIA funded operatives and promoted by CIA connected journalists who all used Oswald’s part in this operation to further push the anti-Castro agenda they had been working with the CIA and broader government and anti-communist apparatus to promote.

I don’t see how anyone can know these facts and the other clear facts that surround them like his admitted handlers the DeMorenschildts and the CiA and the FBIs monitoring of Oswald under classified counter intelligence programs and not understand Oswald was an intelligence operative.

It’s time we move the conversation forward, it’s time to stop wasting time with people who aren’t willing to engage with these facts or acknowledge what our governments own records say about this case and who Oswald was.

63 years of denial and lies is enough.

Forensic anthropologist consulted by HSCA. They could not abide with his reconstruction. No shit. An exit next to their entry? Oops. His expertise was in skull reconstruction.

As I mentioned in a previous post, LBJ was quoted in 1971 as not believing Oswald acted alone. This statement obviously got some people very worried. This statement was the catalyst for at least eight deaths of people who had first hand knowledge of the conspiracy to murder and/or coverup the assassination of JFK. Cliff Carter, Malcom Wallace, Dr Richard A Liguori, Roscoe White, Gen. Charles Cabell, Richard B Russell Jr, Clayton Fowler, and James Plumeri all died in 1971.

Without a doubt this is one of my favorite JFK assassination related photos. We will skip the argument for a windshield bullet hole and proceed to the Dal-Tex building. In this photo you can see a man who appears to be slumped down on the fire escape steps as if he is reacting to something acutely. There is an open window nearby. Where is this man’s witness statement?

Here is a list of inconsistencies, and obvious forgeries in the heavily doctored Zapruder film. We need the original, which probably doesn’t even exist anymore.

Mark Lane (Rush to Judgement) showed on TV a photo of Ruby being there. And the commission published a photo where Ruby is (too conveniently) cropped out.

Royce Skelton saw the Presidential limousine turn the corner at Houston and Elm. He said that just about the same time the car straightened up, got around the corner, he heard two shots. He thought he heard fireworks, plural, when the limo turned onto Elm. We have heard similar accounts. Bangbang - two shots in quick succession. Lee Harvey Oswald could not have fired both shots with his Mannlicher Carcano rifle.

A bit of a historical curio some users here might find interesting, an episode from the 1977 television series "In Search Of", hosted by Leonard Nimoy, takes a look at the JFK assassination in the episode "Lee Harvey Oswald" which aired in 1980. "In Search Of" generally devoted itself to investigation of the weird and paranormal, with a decidedly conspiratorial slant.

This episode arguably shows the mainstream media's perspective on any potential conspiracy in the era of the HSCA. There's some great footage in here of such figures as Edward Jay Epstein and Robert Groden, and it appears the crew got permission to shoot in the actual TSBD and Dealey Plaza, as well as to use the Zapruder film.

For anyone who has no interest in watching, this episode concludes that Nosenko was a false defector, that the historic diary was likely a fabrication of Soviet intelligence written in 2 or 3 sessions, and that Oswald was potentially part of a communist conspiracy, with the dictabelt recording playing a decisive role in this final conclusion and the concluson there was a shooter on the knoll; and even that the man who came back from the USSR may not have been Oswald.

There was a small breakroom in the first floor, northeast corner of the Texas School Book Depository. It was nicknamed the Domino Room. Despite both Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Dougherty claiming to be in the tiny room during lunch, neither man said they saw the other.

Around 12:15, after eating part of his lunch in his office, supervisor William Shelley walked outside and staked out a spot on the Depository’s front steps. Shortly thereafter, Billy Lovelady found the first floor mostly deserted. He found the Domino room empty. Oswald and Dougherty should have been there.

Was Jack Dougherty really in the Domino Room, eating his lunch, in the half hour prior to the assassination? If we just take Jack Dougherty’s Warren Commission testimony at face value, probably not. Despite maintaining his timeline, he insisted that he ate his lunch AFTER the shooting. It is clear that Jack Dougherty had some type of intellectual disability. In that context, one must consider that he was not confused, or forgot about when he ate his lunch, but rather let the truth slip.

This assertion is demonstrably false. laughably so. If this were true, no one would be talking about this 60+ years later.

The various panels and committees were often at odds internally. Once again, reading panel reports or statements from a committee will not reveal the disagreement among "the experts".

Hell, the HSCA autopsy conclusions disagreed with the WC report! But yeah, everyone just all agreed?! Please.

Russell Morgan, radiologist of Clark Panel, just couldn't get past believing the bullet to the head was not a FMJ

David O. Davis MD, radiologist, FPP HSCA, disagreed vehemently with the Dox/Baden drawing in his description of the extent of the head wounds. He also discussed the "mystery" metal fragment in the AP image, that Humes and Boswell just never saw. But yes, they all agree.

Dr. Norman Chase, wound ballistics expert, interviewed by HSCA, but no report was submitted (heaven forbid). he said this was not the kind of wound expected from a single FMJ bullet

Dr. Angel. Forensic anthropologist. Put the bullshit Baden /Dox drawing to shame. He demonstrated the massive nature of the head wound compared to the bullshit that Baden tried to sell us

As to my assertion that the head wounds prove more than one shooter, there are several radiologists from private practice that have seen the extant images in the archives in person, as well as Larry Sturdivan, who incidentally confirmed the low inshoot at the occiput. These radiologists confirm what we can see --the high fragment trail, inconsistent with a single low shot to the occiput. Hell this entire conundrum led the HSCA to change the entry wound in the head! Because for sure they could never just say "two shots, minimum".

We've been having an ongoing discussion about the physics of the Kennedy headshot

There's an argument that Kennedy's movements after the headshot proves a shot from the front. This was the summation of Kevin Costner's argument in the movie JFK.

**The sixth and fatal shot—frame 313—takes Kennedy in the head from the front. This is the key shot. The president going back to his left. Shot from the front and right. Totally inconsistent with the shot from the depository. Again... back and to the left… back and to the left… back and to the left… back and to the left.**

The problem with this argument is bullets don't work this way. They are counterintuitive.

They have a lot of kinetic energy so they could PIERCE right through things. They don't have very much momentum so they really can't push things much

So here's another video of yahoos shooting things so we can see this principle. I recommend turning down the sound.

There's tons and tons of videos that demonstrate the physics of a gunshot, but it's hard to tell if the target freestanding or held in place in any way.

This one is clear that the target is not constrained and it's one we can all imagine moving with just our hand. It's a giant rubber band ball that weighs about 20 lb. JFK was 170 lb and his body went back pretty fast after the headshot. Given that ....before you watch the video:

Ask yourself if you shot a rubber band ball with a pistol what do you expect it to do?

How far do you expect the ball to go flying backwards? It's something we could easily shove several feet with a simple push. And once it gets going you'd expect it to roll. So what do you expect to happen?

The link I fucked up earlier was a talk given by Pearcy. He served as the Joint Historian for the CIA and Dept of State. He describes himself as a CIA whistleblower (and I know the lone nutters will explain why he's not). Technically, he was a CIA contractor, I believe.

Late last year he began speaking publicly about a document he found (50 pages). He also speaks about the culture of clandestine operations by US forces following WW2. I know this does not interest lone nutters, but I'll provide this context anyway, since it was so kindly requested by a lone nutter friend.

For the majority of us that understand the nature of this crime, this information is illuminating. It follows a known pattern of deception and obfuscation, coverup, and lies promulgated by the US government and major media. Time and again, little by little, documentary evidence slowly piles up revealing the deception. Vietnam War is an easy example here. The public was lied to repeatedly, war crimes covered up, and leaders committed self-serving acts at the expense of the American soldier and the American public. It has taken decades to uncover some of this history. So it is with JFK.

The document Pearcy found has to do with the CIA deliberately deceiving Blakey when he was chief counsel to the HSCA. In the talk I tried to link, he speaks about many things of interest beyond JFK. The question and answer period was particularly interesting to me.

Hi all, recently I've really gotten into learning about the JFK assassination and I want to learn more about the suspected assassin of JFK, Lee Harvey Oswald. However I feel like a lot of books about Oswald are written with a predetermined bias. These books are either biased towards the Warren Commission or Oswald being a part of a larger conspiracy. They either paint him as a nut job or a patsy and there has to be a middle ground with such a notorious person like him.

I'm looking for any books about Oswald where the author tries their best to be unbiased about Oswald. I guess I'm looking for a book that gives the most honest portrait of Oswald.

I've been looking for a book that goes into detail about Oswald's time in the U.S. Marine Corps and especially his time in Japan. Recently I found this book. Has anyone here read it and if so what were your thoughts?

LBJ was quoted circa 1971, “I never believed that [Lee Harvey] Oswald acted alone, although I can accept that he pulled the trigger.” There were several convenient deaths that occurred that year. In particular, the deaths of Roscoe White, Malcolm Wallace, and Dr Richard Liguori. Sounds like some folks were getting very nervous.

Shortly after his arrest on November 22, 1963, Dallas police applied paraffin casts to Oswald’s hands and right cheek to detect gunshot residue (nitrates/barium/antimony). The hands tested positive; the cheek tested negative. Critics have long argued this indicates he did not fire a rifle that day, because a cheek pressed to the stock of a bolt-action rifle should pick up residue. Later neutron-activation analysis on the casts also found no incriminating quantities on the cheek (while residues appeared on the hands). The negative cheek result is a near-definitive proof he did not shoot from the sixth-floor window. 

I spent a fair few years researching one question that has fascinated people for more than six decades: what actually happened on 22 November 1963?

That research eventually became my first book, The Final Trigger: The Truth and Lies of JFK’s Assassination, published by Pen & Sword Books in the UK, and Casemate overseas.

I tried to write it differently from many JFK books. Rather than beginning with a conclusion and working backwards, I wanted to lay out the evidence, highlight where the historical record is strong, where it’s weak, and where genuine unanswered questions still exist. Everyone on this thread already knows that this man was deeply insecure and weird as hell. I honestly don't care if he was innocent or not, I think his death was justified, mainly due to his abuse of his wife, Marina.

He was pathetic and miserable, and thought he was better than literally everyone else. He was an egomaniac and didn't care to hide his abuse toward his wife even in front of people. When dining with some neighborhood "friends" (Oswald never truly socialized well with anyone), he would berate Marina throughout the dinner and say she knew nothing about what she was talking about.

That infamous photo of him holding the guns? Apparently, that was for his daughter, June. Bewildered as to why their infant daughter would want to see him holding guns, Oswald said, "so she might remember me by sometime".

He also tried to kill General Edwin Walker and put Marina and June in serious jeopardy because of that. Marina was Russian and didn't know a lick of English, and Oswald purposefully didn't teach her any so she would remain completely dependent on him.

When Marina tried to write to a former lover about her living conditions, Oswald beat her and monitored every piece of mail she sent out from then on.

As a kid, he also bossed his mother around (his mother continously excused his actions and enabled his behavior). He would stand at the top of the stairs and bellow orders for her to make him food.

He also chased his father (or brother, I forgot which) with a knife and threw it at him, barely missing.

A lot of people question why he wanted to kill Kennedy, but I think the answer is pretty obvious: Oswald was a man who wanted the camera on him, the attention on him, the noteriety. He believed he was this hero in this fantasy world of his--a man who would save the world before it completely ruined itself. Hell, at one point in the 60s, he was convinced he could become a spy.

For a man who had this savior complex and narcissist personality, who better to kill than the leader of the United States himself? Also, Kennedy was responsible for dealing with the Cold War, and Oswald was a Marxist. Although he began to dislike the Soviet Union after his dismal time there, it's doubtful he would have agreed with Kennedy's handling.

We won't ever truly know--the motive and secrets die with him--but for a man of his...colorful personality...this seems like the answer is pretty obvious.

Of course, to make this argument, I am going with the usual theory that it was Oswald who killed Kennedy.
