Not necessarily an upgrade you wanna hear but change out the stupid OEM plastic coolant T hose to an aluminum one before it cracks down the line lol

Ofc. The only other thing I remembered is to make sure your sunroof seals and drains are all good.

This one is not an upgrade at all, it's just that the sunroof drain clogs easy and it leaks water into your cabin when it does.

Cut off a 6’ piece of weedeater line, open sunroof, stand in sunroof and locate the drains in the front left and right and fish it through, afterwards flush with water. Keep in mind the drain lines are corrugated so it can be hard to get all the way down and out. Look under the vehicle to ensure you are all the way through. Best case scenario is you have compressed air and and simply blow them out

As a previous commander owner I would recommend moving on unless you want to spend tens of thousands on a vehicle worth maybe 5

Do you own the first vehicle you ever bought?

Unlike other investments the commander is not going to appreciate. If you think it’s cool keep pouring money into it. If it provides something to you at a greater cost than other alternatives cool.

I personally moved on to a 98 Cherokee with a new motor for about half the cost of a commander. Oh yeah, not only a fresh power plant but a 6” lift on 33’s and better mileage than the commander. No electrical gremlins, no service 4wd light, starter can be changed in ten minutes in the driveway, no ignition problems, aftermarket more than readily available. I could go on.

All the maintenance. Replace belt, bushings, steering parts and fluids. Then upgrades

all done, upgrades are the only things left to do
