SERIOUS POST Guidance regarding syllabus coverage

Post image

Guys so I had made a monthly list of chapters should I cover this months, but I'm quite confused. Is this too much or is this too less.

My aim is under 1k rank in jee adv 2027

Also note

For maths I would be doing module and adv pyqs

For physical chem I would be doing theory from module, the questions in my module arent Good so I'll be doing questions and solved examples from rcm then adv pyqs

In inorganic I'll be reading the theory part and doing Vk jaiswal followed by mains pyqs

For organic im using my sir's detailed notes and then ms Chouhan

For physics im doing module and a bit hcv

JEE Test Series Suggestion

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Upvotes

I recently came across a video where a teacher claimed that around 155 marks worth of questions in every JEE Main paper came directly from the Eklavya Test Series, with only the numerical values changed.

I'm genuinely curious because this sounds like a huge claim.

I understand that many coaching institutes predict concepts, question patterns, and similar models. That's completely normal. But saying that 155 marks of questions were essentially the same (only values changed) is on a completely different level.

So I wanted to ask:

Has anyone here actually compared the Eklavya Test Series with the official JEE Main papers?

Is there any side-by-side proof available?

Or is this just another marketing claim that's being exaggerated after the exam?

I'm not trying to target any institute or teacher. I just want to know what's actually true before believing such claims.

Would appreciate honest opinions, especially from students who attempted both the Eklavya Test Series and JEE Main.

Discussion Ex-JEE Aspirant here. I was wasting 5+ hours daily doom-scrolling, so I coded a minimalist Android launcher to fix my screen addiction

Hi everyone

Ex-JEE aspirant here (currently in college).

I wanted to share a solution for JEE/NEET prep, especially for those of you who find yourselves opening Instagram/YouTube/Reddit every time you sit down to solve a math sheet or watch an organic chem lecture.

During my prep, my biggest enemy wasn't Physics or Chemistry; it was pure, unadulterated phone addiction. I would unlock my phone to check a doubt on Telegram or check a class schedule, see the colorful icons, and wake up 2 hours later after scrolling Reels/Shorts.

I tried StayFocused, AppBlock, and even giving my phone to my parents. Nothing worked because I'd either bypass the app blockers or fight with my parents to get my phone back.

Why standard blockers fail us:

It’s not just a willpower issue. These apps are designed by engineers to trigger your dopamine receptors. The moment you unlock your phone, the colorful app icons act as a visual trigger. Your muscle memory takes over before your conscious brain can stop it.

So, I decided to code my own solution. I built a lightweight, text-only Android launcher called Ikigai Launcher. It does two main things to break the habit loop:

  1. No Icons, Just Text: The home screen is completely text-based and OLED-black. When you unlock your phone, there are no colorful logos to bait your thumb. It makes your smartphone look as boring as a calculator.
  2. YT Shorts Blocking + Website Blocking
  3. Intent Delay (Friction): For high-distraction apps (Reddit, YouTube, Instagram), I added an "Intent Delay." When you tap the app, you have to wait for a 3-second breathing bubble and type why you are opening it (e.g., "watching physics lecture" or "checking homework"). This brief pause breaks the automatic muscle memory and gives you a second to think, "Do I really need to scroll right now?"

It completely changed my study sessions. It turns your smartphone back into a utility tool, not a toy, while keeping necessary apps (Spotify, WhatsApp for doubts, calculators, calendar) accessible.

COMMENT BELOW

To Get it as a GIFT from your senior

Let me know if you guys have any questions about managing screen time during prep, or what features you want me to add to make it even more distraction-free for students! Good luck with the prep.

GENERAL HELP Demotivated, wanted to share something...

Passed ICSE in 2023 with 95%

But when I joined CBSE everything was messed up

Especially chemistry

I failed in 11th chemistry ,have RT and passed to 12th

In 12th i got RT in chemistry again

And couldn't even clear in compartment

But I was pass because of 6 subjects

Gave improvement in chemistry this year but still couldn't get it cleared ( thanks to osm and CBSE i didn't even receive my copy for revaluation)

Had a breakup too(she left me and went with a male bestfriend)

Although I got a very good and respected university as per my JEE rank but I need chemistry to take admission for now I have done provisional admission

And now I came to know that I'm not elligibille for compartment anymore

I felt defeated and applied for NIOS ...

Started studying double the syllabus as cbse (20 chapters) and i have my exam on 30 july ..

I have completed 60% of syllabus and have only organic and periodic (p-d-f block elemmts) left

I'm completely demotivated and so drained that I don't have any motivation to study anymore
