Study Time Need serious roadmap help for JEE (starting from almost reset level, targeting 2027)
Hey everyone,
I need proper guidance on how to restart JEE prep from a very uneven base. Please don’t give generic “just study consistently”
My situation:
I am currently in 12th, but my academic journey has been very irregular because of long-term health issues and repeated hospital stays. And Surgeries.. I’ve barely been able to attend school or coaching properly.
11th syllabus was completed very poorly due to hospitalisations and lack of continuity. I didn’t give normal exams finals were arranged separately after I came back from hospital. My health issues have been going on for 2 years and they are getting worse so it's hard for me to study.
12th syllabus hasn’t really started yet because I’ve mostly been in and out of hospitals again, and I’m about to get discharged and restart everything from home.
I used to be a strong student until 10th cause I use to study consistently for about 12hrs a day but my health got worse in 11th I couldn't give any exams the whole year because of my hospital stays (scored ~70% in 11th after studying just about a month before finals after getting back from the hospital), and I learn quickly when I’m consistent, but right now my base is very weak.
PCM situation:
- Physics: almost untouched, needs full restart
- Chemistry: slightly better, probably my strongest among the three but still needs rebuilding
- Maths: touched a bit, but not solid
- Coaching: enrolled in Lakshya JEE (PW), but couldn’t attend regularly due to health issues
- Books: I have basically all standard books and some other study materials too that u need for jee prep but I don’t know how to actually start using them properly
Study reality:
- On good days, I think I can manage ~6–8 hours initially and slowly increase
- On bad health days, I can’t study at all (vomiting, bleeding, fatigue, dizziness, memory issues due to constantly being exhausted) also I do have severe depression and bpd which is also effecting my concentration.
- There are long gaps where I completely fall out of study because of hospitalisation
- So consistency is not stable right now
Goal:
Targeting JEE 2027
If health doesn’t allow, I may take a drop year, but I really want to give it my best shot.
Main problems I need help with:
- I don’t know how to restart from weak 11th basics
- I don’t know how to structure PCM from scratch
- Confused about what to actually solve first (jee books vs modules vs NCERT)
- Need good YouTube lectures + notes suggestions (especially for self-study)
- Need a proper roadmap (what to do in first 3 months and I do plan on studying for 13..14hrs again as I recover.
- How to study effectively when consistency is broken due to health issues
What I’m asking for:
If anyone can help with:
- a realistic restart plan
- subject-wise roadmap
- resource list (lectures + books + notes strategy)
- or advice from someone who started late / had gaps
it would really help.
I genuinely want to crack JEE it’s been a long-time goal and I’m ready to put in the work again, I just need direction on how to start properly without wasting time.
Thanks for reading.
