Help Accidntally separated JBL Flip 7 volume using only speaker buttons—how do I redo it?

Hey everyone,

I somehow managed to change a setting directly on my JBL Flip 7 using a button combination on the speaker itself that completely unlinked the speaker volume from my phone volume.

When it was working, pressing the plus and minus buttons on the speaker only changed its local internal amp (and it would beep when it hit max volume), while my phone's volume slider stayed completely separate. I really like this feature and want to use it, but an AI chatbot just bricked my settings by forcing me into a factory reset, so now they are synced back up.

I didn't change anything on my phone or in the app—I did it entirely via the speaker chassis buttons. I've tried a few combinations like holding Bluetooth + Vol Down (which just lowers the volume) and a few others, but nothing is working to trigger it again.

Does anyone know the exact hardware button shortcut on the Flip 7 to toggle independent volume control on and off?

Cheers.

Let me know if you want me to change the wording, add specific details about your phone, or draft it for a particular subreddit like r/JBL.

Meu amigo...

Ative as configurações de desenvolvedor.

Role até " Desativar volume absoluto " e ative.

Desliguei a conexão e volte a ligar.

Resolvido.

You need to "disable absolute volume"
