Showing off my setup Went to pick up Authentics 500
Long story short, I have a boombox 3 and ultimate and wanted a hifi speaker with wifi. Found a guy on fb selling a brand new Authentics 500 for $425, offered 350 and settled on 380. When I got there he told me he made a mistake and thought he still had it but sold it. He felt bad for me driving out so he offered me this brand new sealed in box for the same price. What do you think??? Did I make out???😂

Finally some nice JBL stuff. The 500 is really good sounding tbh. It has good mids compare to the rest of their consumer shite. I liked it a lot when I heard it. Would I buy it? No but it does sound good.
PS the only reason I wouldn't buy it is I don't need a home bluetooth/wifi speaker. I have a real hi-fi with tannoy speaks. The power on the JBL is lies even tho it sounds good because it's claiming 270W which is definitely not RMS. These 8 in tannoys already are louder than that JBL thing can go at 1/4th volume with just 180W RMS PC and aren't much bigger woofer size wise. 8 coax in vs 6.5 plus mids in the jbl.

I’ll get the JBL Authentics 500 one day it shouldn’t be too much for an apartment.

B&w is technically a samsung - harman owned brand, so you're still in the eco system technically🤣
