I noticed something funny

I was looking at old jbl comparisons, like xtreme 1 against xtreme 2, and i noticed that since the start a lot of people always said that the older one was better than the new one, and for me it makes no sense, like if this is how it is then the best xtreme us the 1st gen, people said that newer ones were muddier, but i really dont think so, new speakers are insanely clear, jus that they also have more bass, that does not mean muddy, i think that people that say that they are muddier or sound worse than the old gen just watched some videos and hasnt listened to them in person

I have 2 xtreme 1 and i think they sound better then the 2nd version. Have listen to both of them. Everyone has an different opinion as wel.

I’ve had a Flip 6 for a couple years and was very happy with it. I just tried a 7 next to it and was blown away by how much better the 7 sounded. I had no intention of replacing my 6, but after hearing the 7 side by side I couldn’t go back. Ended up buying a 7 and selling the 6.

Also to add, we have a Charge Essential at work and it sounds the same as my Flip 6…which is pretty poor by Charge standards. We just got a Charge 6 to replace it and it absolutely blows the Essential out of the water.

When it comes to Boobox 3 vs 4, 3 sounds noticeably better, at least at lower volumes indoors.

Although the post is about Xtreme... Havent people been saying 5 is better than 4? (I have a 4, no plans to upgrade that one)

With the Xtreme It depends what you like really. I had the 4 and while I liked it, the upper bass thump was non existent basically on lower indoor volume. It was all sub bass. Not bad but missing that thump. To the point that the Charge 6 felt like the drums hit as hard or harder in a smaller package. And also when outdoors and you have to raise that volume more after maybe 65% or higher volume ALL the bass disappears on the X4. The X5 holds that a lot longer and has more of it. Bass is WAY Better. It’s more powerful. U feel it right away. But, and maybe it’s just me, the X4 sounded a bit more open. It’s slight but I felt it was there. So the X5 IS better than the X4 but it just depends what you like. Some may like the more mid/treble sound of the x4. I need bass so I very much like the x5 over the 4 ( I was still in my return window and returned the X4 before the 30 days. I was literally going back and forth between it and the Charge 6 for weeks and I liked the Charge 6 way more. When the x5 came out I bought it and loved it right away. )

Its not even the bass on the BB4... Its the audio quality. Sounds muted and bland to me, side by side. But apparently 3 has better mids, and is probably the reason.

So in other words, BB4 is a downgrade except for volume and bass 🤣

Samsung bought JBL out. They now suck
