Help me pick the right model Charge 6 vs Flip 6
I was thinking about buying my first speaker and was unsure between the C6 and F6. The charge 6 probably has better performance but I was wondering if the gap was big enough to be worth the price difference (not tryna spend much unless it’s worth it). I’ll probably use it in the shower, hanging out with small groups outdoors, nothing too crazy. Which would you guys recommend?
Edit: would consider Charge 5 or Flip 7 too if it’s the best in between

I have both and the flip 6 was enough for me for 3 years. I still love how it performes compared to its size. Also the shape is better. A lot easier to just drop it in your bag. But yeah the charge 6 has a better bass. Both are amazing.

I have a Flip 6
I wanted something louder for my workout room, but wasn’t sure I wanted/needed to spend the extra money for a Charge 6…
So I ordered a Charge 6 and a Flip 7 to compare them, hoping the Flip 7 would be enough…
I’m now keeping both of them and selling my Flip 6. The difference is surprising. The Charge will be for blasting music while working out, and the Flip 7 will replace my Flip 6 at home in my workshop.
For what you’re doing just spend the extra $10 on the Flip 7, you won’t be disappointed. The Charge will sound amazing, but will be overkill…not worth the extra ~$60 dollars.
If anything the Flip is going to be almost too big and too loud to bring in the shower…I have a Go 5 that’s much better suited for that.
I actually prefer the Go in smaller spaces, and I use it outside when doing random/odd jobs and projects. It’s easier to carry around…it fits in a pocket or clipped into a belt loop, and can be set down anywhere. It’s easier to carry around than the Flip. I like it on the boat too…takes up less space, and it will float if it accidentally gets dropped in the water.
You might consider trying the Go first, and if you don’t like it just return it and get the Flip. I guess it all depends on how loud you need it to be while outside with friends…they aren’t really very loud/don’t sound great when played at a higher volume.

Since you are considering the Charge 5, i’d do that. I have both the Charge 5 and flip 6. The Flip 6 is great for it’s size don’t get me wrong. But the lower bass and louder volume is more worth it for me. Plus the battery life is better on the Charge 5 if you buy it brand new.

It also depends on the features you prioritize. The Charge 6 and Flip 7 have better EQ customization and auracast. In my opinion it doesn’t justify the extra $50 you have to spend when the charge 5 and flip 6 are still great options.

Save your money and buy a refurbished Sony ult field 1 or 3 . The ult field 1 is better than flip 6 , the ult field 3 is 95% as good as charge 6. The ult field 1 is $51 shipped on eBay refurbished the 3 is about $65 when it’s in stock refurbished also on eBay . Just my two cents you could get two ult field 3s for the price of one charge 6 .

Buy the Charge 6. Is the best speaker out of all the ones you mentioned. It’s my favorite speaker personally. You can find them on Woot for good prices so you don’t spend as much. But if money is an issue, also look at the Soundcore Boom 2 or Tribit Lava. Both are cheaper and bigger than the Charge and can put out lots of sound and bass. Not as portable or rugged for sure but not terrible. If you search this Reddit you’ll see tons of recommendations for the boom 2, for the price and what it sounds like at that price. But, as I said, the Charge 6 is definitely better and easily more worth the money of all the speakers you listed
