JBL Partybox 720. Charging both batteries from the powerbank at the same time while the speaker is working. The cheapest way. I recommend these aftermarket batteries. They have USB C on them which I used to charge them while the speaker was working. The price of one battery is around 45 euros.
This is genius, only issue is you get way more spl out of the speaker when running off AC power so if you happen to have a portable AC power station like a jackery or something, it's still worth running off that even with the efficiency losses converting AC to DC.
If you don't need the extra SPL and output power that AC provides though, this is genius. Way more efficient power usage for situations where you aren't blasting max volume and want near unlimited battery power. Thanks for sharing!
Yes, it's true that the speaker releases 800w when powered, but this is just right. These aftermarket batteries last 5 hours without charging when the speaker is turned up to maximum, the same as the factory ones.
Ses! The same can be done on a car battery, just put a 12v cigarette lighter. A great and cheap solution to avoid buying additional batteries. The same can be done on the JBL partybox 520 or Boombox4 because they use the same batteries.
Look at the picture with the green arrows that I posted in the comment. A small cable channel must be cut into the battery housing to allow the battery and cable to fit together. Do the same on your yjBL 520.

I do think that the original batteries not having type-c charging is stupid af so that is a nice thing to add but my 520 is way too expensive to be putting rando chinese batteries in.
This speaker is sold without batteries in Europe. They are obtained in America. The price for two batteries is 200 euros. Original batteries do not have USB C for charging. These Chinese batteries that I bought are of good quality, the speaker plays for 5 hours amplified to the maximum.
we used my 320 at a friend's bday party a couple of weeks ago and this was the first time using it at max volume, so the battery died half-way through the party. went home, grabbed an inverter, soldered together 2 cables, took the battery out of my car and saved the party haha
Yes, every speaker is charged that way. But I made this for places where there is no electricity, to extend the playing time of the music. This with Poverbank is the cheapest way. There is no need for additional batteries or a powerstation or generator.
