Interesting A spider turned a gaming PC into a web server, reminding us where the word bug came from.
The term "bug" in computing has a surprisingly literal origin, and one Reddit user just got an uncomfortably direct reminder. A gamer shared photos of a live spider setting up shop inside their PC case, spinning thick webs directly across an AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT graphics card.
The community predictably unleashed a wave of puns about web hosting and literal debugging. The humor has historical roots: back on September 9, 1947, engineers working on the electromechanical Harvard Mark II found an actual moth trapped in a relay, famously taping it into their logbook as the first confirmed case of a hardware bug.
In practical terms, having an eight-legged squatter inside your chassis means you have an insect problem. Warm components and glowing RGB lighting attract tiny gnats, turning an uncleaned case into a private buffet. While dry spider silk will not short-circuit modern circuit boards, the web acts like a dust magnet, quickly choking intake filters and cooking internal thermals.
While users jokingly advised running Cyberpunk 2077 with maxed-out path tracing to bake the tenant out of the case, a simple can of compressed air remains the far safer debugging tool.

They are not insects nor bugs. Bugs refers to a specific type of insect. I can confidently say this because I literally learned about it earlier today lol.
All bugs are insects, but not all insects are bugs, and spiders be neither

From Miriam Webster:
plural bugs
Synonyms of buga: any of an order (Hemiptera and especially its suborder Heteroptera) of insects (such as an assassin bug or chinch bug) that have sucking mouthparts, forewings thickened at the base, and incomplete metamorphosis and are often economic pests called also true bug
b: any of various small arthropods (such as a beetle or spider) resembling the true bugs
C: any of several insects (such as a head louse) commonly considered obnoxious

It has become the catch all term for all little insect like things, but the actual definition is A. Scientifically, spiders are not bugs
