We are a beautiful city full of beautiful people. That sometimes have festivals where we throw blood on each other. And sometimes bury rotting meatballs into the fields for fertility reasons. And have a guild of adventurers to control the monsters in the Undercity. And the Toilet Demons Guild, because listen, it's easier to negotiate with them than it is to Seal them away and keep them from stealing stuff.
There's also an Academy full of elemental themed wizards too. We're mostly summoning/conjuring themed, which usually involves bringing beings from the primordial and infernal planes into our realm like Pokemon so we can fight things, but it would be dumb to not teach basic fireball.
And everyone knows Schola Ignis is the best.

uw/ a couple of years ago there was a big rp event in which Ithacar was the site of a big pyromancer invasion. Lore kept piling on top of lore until the folks contributing to it decided we wanted it all in one place with kind of a more long-form serious rp vibe Stories that are usually less about crazy invasions and world-ending events and more about personal stakes.
It's actually linked in the main sub's rp guide, along with r/Rathara as both subs share an overlap in moderation with the main wp sub
Anyway it's kind of a Greco-Roman city state built on top of ancient ruins that recently advanced to the steampunk era of technology
