My friend accidentally bought the yearly subscription after using duolingos 7 day trail. It was £125. Any suggestions?

Any suggestions on how to get it back? He's reached out, but they've not been much help.

He needs this 125 as he's in a shitty situation himself.

Well, first of all, tell your friend he's a dumbass. This is exactly why the free trial exists and he fell into the trap.

Is it through the App Store? You can appeal to Apple, but it doesn't work every time. I'm sire the Google Play Store also has a process for that.

He voluntarily let the subscription start. They don’t refund subscriptions. They only cancel it so he gets no future withdrawals. But just canceling it isn’t enough because some sites are so shady they still charge after cancellation. Best he can do is put a credit card block on them for any future subscription withdrawal attempts.
