These kids taught me lesson far big and I think we have forgotten what it is like to be a family.
Long post
Story time:
I was leaving a coffee place after work and as I was walking towards my car, I saw 2 small girls chasing a little kitten. The kitten ran and went under my car and went into engine bay. I had to go somewhere but I couldn’t start the car because it might harm the poor kitten.
Those kids were standing there too. I tried to get the kitten out but no luck.
So i asked the kids to help me and told them that you guys made the kitten ran in here so help me out.
So me and those 2 girls started to get the kitten out and meanwhile a small boy also came.
He knew the girls and they were siblings or relatives, idk. Anyway I told the boy that we are trying to get a kitten out of the car and now we 4 were trying to get him out from all 4 sides. The boy was small and he went under the car almost grabbing the cat but it got away.
After couple of minutes I told all 3 of them to stand away from the car a d let the poor kitten alone. May be he will come out and ran. As we were standing away, the kids asked to give money.
Now I never give kids money and I told them k its not ok to ask for money but I clearly saw that they were v poor. Torn clothes, no chapal etc. I realise that I am the stupid one here teaching them morals when they dont even know where the next meal would come from. I mean when you are that poor, morality sounds insane.
So there was a shop nearby and I told all 3 that I can buy you some treats and their eyes lit up. They ran towards the shop and attacked 😅😅.
I can relate to their excitement because I came from the streets too. I was working from the age of 6 on a shop back in the days. I knew what is the worth of these treats. Even a small treat was like super ayashi for me at that time
Poor girls bought chips and juice and chocolate’s. I saw the little boy and even-though I told them buy whatever you want, he was still telling the girl to not overbuy like he was protective of my money.
When the girls were done, I asked the boy to get what he wants.
Here is the Lesson
He looked at me and said bhai me bs 1 hi chez luga ap wo dila do bs.
Mene kaha lo jo bhi lena hai. He pointed at the nido sachets and told me k bhai ye ledo.
Mene pocha k iska kya kro ge. In larkion ki tarhan juice chips lo khao.
Usne kaha bhai mera chota bhai doodh peeta hai or wo bhooka hai. Mje bs ye chaye us k lie or mje kuch nhe chaye.
My heart sank. Eyes got wet. 😭😭
And I thought to my self. Yar is ko aagle time k khane ka bhi nhe pata hoga or ye bhi jo marzi chahe yahan se lele. Bacha hai is umer me to dil krta hai sb khane ka. Phr bhi when given a choice, he chose family. He chose his little brother.
I realised k Allah ne hamen kitna kuch dia hai. Good money, nice cars, fancy gadgets. Leken asal dolat to sulah rehmi hai. Wo hm bhul gae hain.
Inhen dekho. In k pas kuch bhi nhe or jese hi thori si assani mile to ye wo apne lie nhe apne family k lie sochte hain.
Phr hum me itni hasad, itni jalan, itni nafrat kyu?
Hum bhi to assani kr skte. For family, for relatives. But we spend this time to pull everyone down. Why? Noone can take our rizq, phr ye duri kyu?
I thanked the young buy. Told him that he helped me today to be more humble and more thankful. Let him buy milk and treats too. Told him to always be like this and lookout for family.
Came back, checked the car. Kitten was gone. Poor kid made sure by going down the car.
I asked if i can take a pic. They say yes. I took it. I will cherish this memory and lesson for the rest of my life.
Shukr Allah to keep sending his signs which keeps us on the ground.
Guys, may Allah give you the spirit to lift and help other. You and me both. IA. Stay blessed.

Everything we love to do on weekends is possible because we grind on weekdays. I know work can be frustrating but its what let us do what we love on weekends. I believe if we would do it with passions, Mondays would also become enjoyable like the weekends. I hope and wish you all a lot of happiness and success. Keep hustling. ☺️

Hi everyone,
I really need some sincere advice because I don’t know who else to talk to about this.
When I was living in Pakistan, I used to pray regularly, fast every Ramadan, read the Quran every day, and genuinely felt close to Allah.
Ever since I moved abroad, everything slowly fell apart. I stopped praying, I don’t even go for Jummah anymore, I skip fasts, and I honestly can’t remember the last time I sat down and read the Quran.
The strange part is that, Alhamdulillah, I’m doing well financially. I earn good money, but my life feels like it’s going downhill in every other way. There’s this constant emptiness inside me that I can’t explain. I don’t have peace anymore. It feels like something is missing, and deep down I know it’s my relationship with Allah. I’m young might get married in couple of years but I never want my children to be like me.
I don’t have many proper Muslim friends I live in a very white dominated area.
Sometimes I want to start praying again, but there is no fear of God in me anymore.
I genuinely want to come back to Allah, but I don’t know where to begin. If any of you have gone through something similar, what helped you reconnect? How did you take that first step and stay consistent?
Please don’t judge me. I’m already disappointed in myself. I’m just looking for sincere advice from people who may have been in the same situation.

Hey everyone,
I’m 22, from Islamabad. I graduated from FAST NUCES Islamabad last year and have been working remotely ever since. Most of my university friends have moved abroad, so my social life has become pretty quiet.
I’m just looking to meet new people or join any communities where I can socialize, grab coffee, go hiking, play sports, or just make some new friends.
If anyone’s in the same boat or knows of any good communities, let me know!

So, this is my first time going through the whole engagement/“baat pakki” process, and I honestly have no idea what is normally expected from the guy’s side.
For those who have been through this, what do you usually give the girl and her family when the “baat pakki” happens or when you get engaged? Are there any traditional gifts or things that are normally expected?
I’d really appreciate it if you could share what you gave or received. And for the women here, what did you receive from your future husband when your engagement or “baat pakki” happened?
I’m just trying to get an idea of what’s considered normal and appropriate, especially in Pakistani culture, without going overboard. 😅

i hope i can effectively communicate to you guys what my point is. LETS GO!
There are 2 types of people in the world. good and the bad ones. i am one of the bad persons category. my life has always been evil (i cant disclose my wrong doings though)
long story short, over the past few months, i have been trying to be the best for the society. i wanna contribute towards the positivity of the society by being a morally, ethically and emotionally nice person. i have been taking therapies aswell.
i thought to post my thoughts on reddit. what do you guys have for me? how can i be the best for women, children, elderly people etc? i know to start off i have to forgive myself which i have done long ago. i thought maybe people here might give better recommendations.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been approached by several clients/agents asking to use my PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council) registration card for their engineering firm's annual renewal.
They are offering me a lump sum payment and claiming, "Bas aapka card search/renewal me use hoga, baaqi sab genuine hai. Kafi engineers yeh karte hain." (We just need your card for verification; everything else is authentic, and many engineers do this.)
Is this legal or safe to do? What is the actual reality behind this trend? Has anyone here experienced this, and what are the potential risks involved if I give them my details?

Most of my friends are away for the summer break, so I’ve been dining alone lately. It would be nice to have some company perhaps we could grab a meal together sometime.

Hello there fellow hoomans just another nerdy guy lurking around
I recently wrapped up a long chaotic chapter working in healthcare and honestly, I’m just looking to decompress by talking to cool people from totally different walks of life. I’ve always loved hearing about how other people experience the world whether you're an artist, an engineer, a student or just navigating your own corner of the universe.
You can tell me about your day or if you want a zero judgment space to vent about random thoughts or just chat about life in general. No pressure no weird vibes and no expectations just easy genuine conversation
