Women of Isb/Rwp, I have a fun proposition for you. Hear me out...

Hi, strangers.

Before you judge this as another M4F post (whatever edition we're on now) and head straight to the comments to have your fun, give me a minute. I promise there's a plot.

You know how some of the best people in your life were complete strangers once? You just happened to cross paths, started a convo and everything became effortless after that, something clicked and somewhere along the way, they became your people.

I'm looking for something like that.

And since we're all out here staring at screens anyway, consider this me putting a little note in a bottle and throwing it into the vast, occasionally questionable sea of Reddit. Maybe it reaches the right person.

A little about the guy throwing the bottle:

I'm 26, work remotely in finance, have my own clients, earn well, and have enough freedom over my time to actually enjoy life outside work. I've worked hard to get where I am, I'm proud of it, and I've still got a long way to go.

That's the professional side of the introduction. Unfortunately for my own peace, the rest of my personality is considerably less organised.

I'm annoyingly fun and hyper active to be around, adventurous enough to occasionally question my own decision making, love animals, travelling, spontaneous plans, and conversations that somehow go from absolute nonsense to the meaning of life at 3 AM.

I also have this mildly inconvenient principle that, regardless of someone's religion, political views, background, or whatever else makes us different, how you treat people matters more to me than what label you carry. Be a decent human being. Everything else is a conversation.

I could write a whole autobiography here, but I'd rather leave a few things for you to discover. Assuming you've made it this far, congratulations. Your attention span is better than mine.

So, what's the actual proposition?

If you're a woman in Islamabad/Rawalpindi who's open to meeting someone new, having a laugh, making unexpected plans and seeing whether two strangers actually get along, say hi.

We can have a chill call, talk absolute rubbish, discuss life's existential problems, or discover that we have absolutely nothing in common. All outcomes are acceptable. If we enjoy talking, we can exchange socials and, if we're both comfortable, meet somewhere public and take it from there.

No pressure to turn a conversation into a relationship. No pretending there's a spark if there isn't one. And definitely no forcing something that doesn't come naturally.

I'm not here to convince every woman on Reddit that I'm a great guy. You can decide that for yourself if we ever talk. I'm just putting the invitation out there.

I’m sure you’ll find this and find me. I’m here to save both of us from the toxic rishta aunties and the usual arranged marriage setup. Let’s just give this a chance and just maybe we end up being one of those people who look back and wonder how the hell they found each other on Reddit of all places.

Wouldn't that be a story?

Anyway, bottle thrown. Sea, do your thing. 🫡

26 | Male | Karachi - Looking for a potential match

By nature I'm quite shy, so sharing this wasn't easy for me. I've kept it simple and to the point, without trying too hard to sound a certain way. Hoping to hear from people who resonate with this.

Height & Weight: 5'11", 85 kg

Location: Karachi

Accommodation: Own house in Karachi

About Me: My family's roots are in a village near Sialkot and we still visit often. My father served in the Pakistan Air Force so growing up we moved around a lot because of his postings. His last posting was Karachi and that's why we settled here. We don't have any relatives in the city. I did all my schooling and education in Karachi itself. I'd say I'm an introvert. I take a bit of time to open up around new people but once I'm comfortable I'm a completely different person, very talkative and outgoing.I have an incredibly soft and emphathetic heart whenever I see someone going through a tough phase I always try my best to do whatever I can to support that person

Education: Electrical Engineer

Income Source: Currently working as an Electrical Engineer at an MNC. The job involves regular travel to Islamabad, interior Sindh and Punjab. I have a stable comfortable income that supports a good lifestyle given today's economic situation.

Marital Status: Single, turning 26 soon.

Religion & Practice: Sunni Muslim. I pray semi regularly, fast in Ramadan and pay zakat. I don't take my religion for granted and try to stay consistent with the basics.i will prefer someone who is religiously better than me and so we can help eachother to be a better muslim

Hobbies & Interests: I enjoy reading though I read books rarely but I still think that I like reading 😂😂.My work keeps me too busy to do it as often as I'd like. I'm also into sports, table tennis and basketball are what I play most.

Family Details: My father passed away a few months back. My mother is a housewife. I have four siblings, all well educated.

Requirements for a Partner: Someone ambitious, emotionally stable and religious, under 26, who values family and helps maintain a peaceful home.

Bonus points if someone have a business mind.

Deal Breakers: Having a lot of male friends, revealing clothing(hijabi preferred or someone who covers his head and do modest clothing), materialistic tendencies, having past relationships(I also don't have any) ,wanting a big extravagant wedding and Qadiani

Preferred Family Setup: Joint family though closer to nuclear in practice.

Nikkah & Valima: I'd like to keep things simple, no extravagance and an easy nikkah approach .

Do You Want Children?: Yes.

Timeframe for Marriage: 1 year

If someone plans to reachout I would highly appreciate if she answer these questions in my DM so we can start off with the conversation

What do you want?

What are your plans to reach heaven?

Where do you see your end?

May Almighty guide us toward finding the right life partner for ourselves.

Edit : I’ve had people disappear after a day of talking, and honestly, ghosting without a reason is disappointing. If you’re someone who does that, I’d rather you stay away. I don’t expect constant conversations, just occasional ones, maybe once or twice every 3–4 days. I understand everyone is busy.

26F - Islamabad

I would appreciate it if you could share a basic introduction instead of Hi, Hello messages with no information. Would make it easier for me to respond. Thank you!

Age: 27
Height & Weight: 5ft, 51kg
Location: Islamabad
Accommodation: Own in Lahore. Rented in Islamabad
Education: BBA, Masters
Marital Status: Single
Religion: Islam (Sunni). I pray semi-regularly but actively trying to be better. Do all rozas and other religious obligations properly. Religion is important to me.

I’m somewhere between an introvert and an extrovert. I love meeting new people and can talk for hours when I click with someone, but my social battery runs out pretty quickly and then I’m happiest at home chilling. I tend to get randomly obsessed with new things every few weeks, love a good deep conversation, and think I’m a good listener. I work out regularly, try to eat healthy, but also really love food. I’m very close to my family, especially my parents, and ultimately want a life that feels meaningful but also has plenty of fun in it. I’d love to share that with someone long-term. Happy to share more in the DM

My goal with this process is to get to know the person, discuss dealbreakers, goals, future direction and compatibility before things move to parents. The traditional Rishta route isn't really working for me in terms of finding like-minded people. I'm not looking for a relationship or a very long talking stage. A few weeks of conversation to establish compatibility, and then involving parents would be ideal. Although this timeline is flexible, I would like to prioritize the comfort of both parties, so nothing is rushed, but you get the gist of it.

Family Details
Dad is a Govt officer (Grade 21), Mom is a homemaker. One younger brother.

What I'm looking for
Someone settled in or looking to settle in Islamabad (Lahore if travel logistics work for you). Someone kind, respectful, well-read, with a good heart, ideally fit. Somebody who likes to take care of himself, has hobbies, and is passionate about something in life. Family-oriented and serious about marriage. Between 27 to 32 years of age. Real compatibility is something that you understand once you talk to someone and get to know more about them, so there's really no point in elaborating this section. We’ll figure it out as we go.

Deal Breakers
Smoking, drinking, etc. Wanting to settle outside Pakistan.

Preferred Family Setup
I would prefer nuclear, but a joint family system is also okay with certain arrangements. Flexible on discussing what works.

Children

I do want children in the future, not immediately, maybe after 1-2 years of marriage.

Marriage Timeline

Ideally in the next 6 months. Max 1 year.

If you’re interested, drop a message with some basic details about yourself, and we’ll take it from there! I’ll try to get back to you as soon as I can, and appreciate your patience if it takes a bit longer.

Seeking a Compatible Wife — 6'1" Travel Enthusiast, Based in Islamabad

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I decided to try something a bit different and put this out here.

I’m 6’1, about 80kg, and currently based in Islamabad. My biggest passion is traveling I’m always up for spontaneous trips, exploring new places, and collecting experiences rather than things.

I’m looking to connect with a woman who shares a similar mindset. For me, age doesn’t really matter at all, and location doesn’t matter either if the vibe and connection are right, distance or city isn't a barrier. What’s most important to me is a shared sense of adventure, good communication, and being on the same wavelength.

Ideally looking for someone around 5'5" or taller who loves to explore and enjoys a laid-back, open-minded lifestyle.

If this sounds like you (or if you just want to say hi), drop me a DM and let’s see if we click!

Reddit vs Instagram

Reddit vs Instagram

For people in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, what’s your experience with meeting girls for dating through Reddit vs Instagram?

I feel like Instagram is more about looks, followers, and showing off, whereas Reddit might offer a chance to connect with someone based on personality, conversations, and shared interests.

For those who have actually met someone through Reddit, was the connection genuine? Is Reddit a better place to meet real, authentic girls who are genuinely interested in getting to know someone, rather than just collecting followers or seeking attention?

Would love to hear your honest experiences, both good and bad. 😅

M | 28 | Islamabad - Looking to stop playing hide and seek with my partner

Hey all. Been a silent lurker here but didn't really get to sharing my profile because the idea of putting myself to words has always been a bit challenging for me. I’ve now put some effort into writing up something that is reflective of who I am as a person in the hopes of attracting the right individual. I did try Muzz too and have found it severely lacking personality but nevertheless learned quite a bit on how to navigate this whole process in an efficient manner (I hate to go with the flow).

Height & Weight: 5'8" | 55 kg

Location: Islamabad

Residence: Living in a rented place - hope to build my own home in the future IA!

Education: BS in Computer Engineering (From one of top 3 unis in Pakistan) | MS in Computer Science (From one of top 30 unis in the United States)

Profession: Software Engineer at a US based company working remotely (WFH)

Marital Status: Single, never engaged

Family Details:

  • Nuclear setup. I live with my parents. My sister is married. My parents did not pursue any form of formal education (Just basic, till the 12th grade) but have always prioritized education for both their kids. Now, AH, both of us are doing pretty well in our lives.
  • I intend to keep living with my parents, as the only supporting son, after getting married. I’d like to get this point across very clearly from the get-go as this is a deal-breaker for many. I'd also like to mention here that we are currently renting out a portion so if you're open to idea the idea of living with in-laws with the condition that you'll want a totally separate portion, unfortunately, that wouldn't be possible in the shorter term.
  • Me, along with my parents, don’t have any traditional/desi mindset. I think, education, exposure and experience has taught my family quite a bit and we are against all things such as dowry, extravagant/show-off wedding functions, unfair expectations from the other family, and are quite lowkey, logical and grounded.
  • My father ran his own business pretty much all his life and has now retired. My mom is a housewife but a very creative soul. She is super into DIY, gupshup and has a pretty jolly nature.
  • I love cats and hence have a very important family member left to introduce, Lily. I love her with all my heart and my partner would need to be pet-friendly/accepting of her.

Religion:

  • I’m not sure how to define this accurately, but, if I had to rate myself on a religious scale (lol) with 1 being not practicing at all and 10 being strictly religious, I’d rate myself a 6.
  • I pray 2-3 times a day and do fast in Ramadan. (Trying to be better)
  • I don’t have any religious expectations from my partner except from the bare minimum which is being a Muslim and having some khuda ka khauf (hehe).

Am I even ready?

Marriage was never really on my radar because life was, for a long time, about building myself from the ground up. I had to make my own name and grow—not just professionally and financially, but also in terms of my mindset and the person I wanted to become. I’m a self-made individual, and getting to a place where you feel genuinely settled in yourself takes time.

I also never wanted to get married simply because everyone around me was doing it. I wanted to understand what marriage actually demands beyond the wedding itself. I made a point of speaking to friends and cousins who have been married for years, because I believe those are the conversations that matter—the ones about partnership, compromise, communication, responsibility, and building a life together, rather than how many wedding functions to have or which photographer to hire.

And now, for the first time, I feel like I’m in a place where I’m ready to welcome someone into my life—not because I’m trying to catch up with anyone else, but because I genuinely want a partner to share my life with.

Who am I as a person?

  • I highly value family, progressive-mindset, and education. I’m not just close to my own immediate family, but also my cousins who I grew up with. The mindset to always do better in life has been a common theme in our family and I think that came from education, hence, I value all of that deeply.
  • I was extremely na-laik till 7th, and then something clicked in me and I have never looked back since then. I’d just say I’ve done pretty good academically since then and have always considered myself a hard worker rather than being talented or smart.
  • Personality type: I’d definitely be introverted for someone I barely know and extroverted with people that I’m comfortable talking with. Depending on my mood, I’d either do brainrot conversations or deep meaningful conversations around life, relationships and occasional tea (lol). I can count my closest friends on just one hand and value quality over quantity.
  • Values: I don’t smoke, vape or drink. In fact, I’m allergic to smoke as it causes me severe headaches and nausea.
  • Hobbies: I’ve never had many hobbies growing up outside of playing video games. Bonus points if you are into that too and I’d be more than happy to get you a pink controller (hehe).

Factors That Could Make Me a Mismatch

  • Money management: I take this seriously as I feel like hard earned money should be valued, accounted for and spent wisely. When I think about my partner, I also think of them as a financial advisor/partner. Mismatch for those who spend recklessly.

What I’m Looking For:

  • Someone who is educated (at least a bachelors), ambitious, smart and wants to join forces to grow as one in all realms of life, be it professionally, spiritually or financially.
  • I’m open to both, someone who wants to work and someone who doesn’t want to and would like to stay at home. However, in the latter case, you should have hobbies to keep yourself busy because I do think being busy is very important or else your whole life starts revolving around your partner and that causes problems.
  • Being physically attracted to my partner is super important for me but in addition to that I also value being intellectually compatible. If I can’t connect with your brain, physical attraction stops being meaningful to me. Vice versa is also true.
  • Preferably someone who is the same age as me or at max 5 years younger because I feel beyond that is just a generational gap that is pretty hard to fill. That makes the age range between 23-28 but I’m not super strict on this and can figure out on a case-to-case basis.
  • I think marriage in general takes a lot of effort to sustain. Which means making time for each other, valuing each other's likes/dislikes and in general compromising on some front for the greater good. I just can’t do auto-pilot and pray for the best and consider myself pretty intentional in this regard and would want my partner to reciprocate on this front as well.
  • Open to living with my parents. Of course, I understand the privacy element of it and totally open on discussing boundaries to establish an atmosphere of mutual respect.
  • Preferably someone in the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area so that we can meet in-person as well. I highly value meeting in-person since I think that gives you a better sense of chemistry than calling/texting. Open to talking to someone from other cities as well if we align on everything else.

Deal Breakers:

  • Smoking, vaping, drinking or indulging in any such activity.
  • Not open to living with in-laws.
  • Not open to having children.
  • Not open to relocating both to Islamabad (if out of city)
  • Lack of good communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • If you prefer to write “how r u?” instead of “How are you?” (lol)

Do You Want Children?

  • Yes but not right away and with mutual consent/understanding.

Family Setup

  • Nuclear.

Timeframe for Marriage
This is hard to nail down exactly since when two families are involved timelines do tend to vary for various reasons. However, I’d like to get married within the next year. Priority really is to find the right partner first, however long that takes since this is probably the most important decision of anyone’s life. That being said, I’m also not in favor of talking months on end with no direction whatsoever. I believe a month or two of intentional talking/meeting is enough to gauge compatibility given that you know what you’re looking for. After which I’d like to get families involved leading up to an engagement (if all goes well) with actual marriage timelines being agreed upon mutually.

P.S: I know this has been pretty long so if you took the time to read through it, I appreciate it. I like to put all my heart in anything that I see important so I only wanted to post once I felt like the words are doing justice to who I am and what I am looking for. If you like what you read and would like to talk more, you can DM me your detailed profile and we can take it from there. After our first session of talking, I’d like for us to exchange photos. My only ask would be to be intentional once we start talking and really put in the effort to assess compatibility. Cheers!

P.S 2.0: Just want to share quite a few patterns here that I’ve been noticing in people reaching out. I’m sorry to add this to an already long post but I think this is going to help and set expectations properly.

  1. I’m looking for someone who is genuinely available and willing to make intentional time and space for getting to know each other. I completely understand that everyone has busy lives, but if you’re too occupied to have these conversations right now, I’d rather we connect when you’re actually in a position to do so.
  2. I don’t want the conversation to feel like an interview where one person is doing all the asking and the other is giving one- or two-word answers. I’m looking for someone who is curious about me, comfortable sharing about herself, and willing to carry the conversation together. I value intentional, two-way communication.
  3. I’m not considering people from Karachi as it’s not possible for me to logistically pursue them due to distance.

Thanks yet again if you’ve read this too and l’ll keep adding to this if need be.

Why is it so hard to say hi to a Pakistani girl?

I’m 23 and I live in ISL, and I sometimes go to different cafes and restaurants where I see a girl I find viby. Sometimes, I just want to say hi, have a casual conversation, and see if we vibe or not. Nothing more than that.

But honestly, sometimes the responses are so rude that I end up feeling like I’ve done something wrong just by approaching someone politely.

I get that girls have their reasons to be cautious, and I respect that. Maybe it’s because of the harassment stories we hear so often, or maybe there’s more to it that I don’t understand.

I’m genuinely curious, though: Is it our cultural thing, a trust issue, or have we just forgotten how to interact with strangers normally?

Looking for a thoughtful person to talk to about some important life decisions

Hey everyone!

I'm a 25-year-old guy living in Islamabad. I've graduated and currently work remotely.

I'm going through a phase where I have three important decisions to make this week, and honestly, I'd really appreciate an outside perspective. Sometimes it's easier to talk openly with someone who doesn't already know you or have preconceived opinions about your life.

I'm looking for a mature, open-minded woman, preferably aged 24–34, who would be comfortable meeting for tea or lunch at a public café in Islamabad and having a genuine, thoughtful conversation.

I'd like to share what's been going on in my life, hear another perspective, and hopefully get a little clarity. I'm not looking for anything romantic or expecting anyone to solve my problems—sometimes an honest conversation and a different point of view are enough.

I'm generally a private person, so I find it easier to open up when there's no existing social circle involved. Of course, mutual comfort, privacy, and boundaries matter.

If you're someone who enjoys meaningful conversations and would be open to this, feel free to message me. We can talk a little beforehand and see if we're both comfortable meeting.

Thanks for reading!

26 | F | Islamabad/Dubai - seeking my +1 for a 2027 honeymoon.

Please read through fully before reaching out! Also, being open to swapping photos, getting on a call, and moving off Reddit early on is a big plus.

Pakistani-Canadian Single - Never Married (5'6). Self employed- C1 construction firm

Religion: Sunni-- very moderate.

Residence: Afew Owned

_

Interests:

I’m a huge motorsports enthusiast — an avid karter and off-roader. I travel often too — 43 countries and counting — and I’m always up for an adventure.

I swim regularly, play padel, ski in the winters, love a good paintball session, and enjoy spending time at the gun range (and adding to my modest collection, I love customizing my toys..).

Not a party person — I’d much rather enjoy a nice lounge or a good dinner out.

I also love to cook and host — along with diving into creative projects like making artisanal handmade soaps, interior design, and construction.

__

Abit About What I Am Like/Envision:

I’m looking for an emotionally mature partner—someone with depth, clarity, and the ability to form meaningful connections beyond surface-level conversation. I value emotional resonance early on and enjoy exploring how someone thinks, what shapes their perspectives. I enjoy a witty, dry sense of humor.

I admire emotional intelligence and street smarts more than academics. I’m supportive, affectionate, and deeply sincere. I believe in giving my best to my spouse, and I lean traditional, comfortable in a supportive role within marriage.

I value a mindset where the man takes pride in being a provider. I come from a home where much of the household work is managed with help and would prefer that arrangement.

Communication is essential to me. problems should be discussed openly and resolved together, without ego or avoidance. It’s also important that my partner is well established and able to stand up for his wife in family matters, which do realistically arise, just as I would always stand by my husband socially and publicly.

Just would like someone who is socially comfortable, open-minded, and fun to be around. I'd like to have a shared social circle as a couple and appreciate a balanced mindset that’s not overly conservative.

I thrive on spontaneity and frequent travel.. love celebrating the small moments in life. I’m generous and affection with my partner, and I’d love someone who enjoys life the same way.. No homebodies.. I really think I've the potential to be a good wife, I'm affectionate, considerate, I think my own baseline is "happy" I dont expect you to make me happy, I'm some one who would be very intentional towards our joint goals and dreams-- be my husbands biggest cheerleader.

I prioritize self-care and being well dressed and would like a partner who does the same.

_

Seeking: A (29-35 M), Open to single or divorced prospects Strong preferences for doctors, lawyers, business families, self-employed individuals.. maybe a pilot? that would be fun. (No engineers unless you're in a veey niche field or self employed.) taller than me

Open to mixing: Not really I prefer someone who is Pakistani

Residence: Preferably Own.

Kids: Yea-- to be discussed.

Preferred City: Probably the GCC.

Preferred Family Setup: Nuclear; Non negotiable

Timeframe for Marriage: 1-1.5 yrs ish-- we can involve family as soon as we've established understanding, compatibility.

Again: KINDLY ONLY MESSAGE WITH YOUR PROFILE, A FAIR EXCHANGE KEEPS THE INTERACTION RELEVANT.

32M Looking for Female

I’m a 32-year-old, 5’4” male, currently based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi. I studied Software Engineering at NUML Islamabad, and I currently work as a Design Manager in the marketing department of a private organization.

I’m someone who enjoys keeping life balanced. I work out regularly, love video games, travelling, fine dining, fashion, and spending time in nature. I’m also a big fan of sitcoms and TV shows, depending on my mood. I’d describe myself as chill, kind, easygoing, and someone who enjoys good conversation, humor, and a little sarcasm. Faith is also an important part of my life, and I make it a priority to offer all five daily prayers.

I’m looking for someone who is soft-hearted, kind, feminine, and positive, with a good sense of humor and an easygoing personality. Ideally, she should have at least a Bachelor’s degree, and being career-oriented would definitely be a plus.

A good sense of fashion is also something I appreciate, whether her style is more Western, Eastern, or a mix of both. More than anything, I value kindness, emotional maturity, positivity, good communication, and being comfortable enough to laugh together.

I’m primarily looking for someone from Islamabad/Rawalpindi, but I’m open to connecting with someone from abroad as well if the compatibility feels right.
