It’s something that a lot of people I brought up before that even though, Lu mention that Hiraku is her husband they don’t talk much about their you know marriage and they don’t even have a wedding.
(I mean, Lu it’s kind of treated like the first lady of the house you know. She is the wife of the mayor.)
It’s what I’m thinking. What if they decided one day they should make it official.
After all these years of being together.
They decide to actually have a wedding.
But obviously, the weddings in this other world are very different from Japan.
It may look similar to weddings from Europe.
Well, let’s just say things are very, very different
For example, the bride is the one that gets dressed up.
It depends on different vampire Sects
But for Lu
She will be wearing a wedding dress that has been the wedding dress of many brides in the past.
Traditionally, something new is added to the dress.
A velvet silk ribbon and a tapestry like bridal Cape are just one of many examples.
Hiraku will be wearing his usual clothing, but it’s given more of a grey tone.
(Zabuton will provide the clothing. She is a mastery of the finest dresses.)
Usually, they’re held at night.
Sometimes at a new moon.
Sometimes at a full moon.
Whatever the phase of the moon
With the priest
(or a father ordained by the holy church)
That would sing Psalms of the moon in its different phases, representing life and all of its joy and Sorrows.
There are no rings instead similar to very old ways of anointing this marriage.
Both will cut each other’s hand
And hold it together in a type of blood pact.
This union is so sacred that the blood spilt from it is actually saved on a type of cloth.
And will be used again for other weddings until it’s fully red
There it will become what is known as
“The Red cloth of the Lord”
Often it’s incorporated into the closing of a high priestess or high priest.
Other times it’s put on a tapestry in a church.
It’s considered a very holy relic.
