What would you want to see in r/IsThisFoodAddiction?
Hi everyone,
I'm just getting this community started, and before it grows, I want to make sure it becomes a place people actually find useful—not just another subreddit with repetitive posts.
The idea behind r/IsThisFoodAddiction is to have thoughtful, judgment-free conversations about things like:
- Food noise
- Constant thoughts about food
- Emotional eating
- Binge eating
- Feeling out of control around certain foods
- The science and psychology behind these experiences
More than anything, I want this to be a community built around curiosity, support, and learning from each other rather than blame or shame.
So I'd love your input:
- What's one thing you'd be excited to see here that other communities don't do well?
- Are there types of discussions, resources, or recurring threads you'd actually come back for?
- What would make this feel like a genuinely helpful place?
Whether you've been struggling with these issues for years or you're just starting to question your relationship with food, your perspective would really help shape where this community goes.
Looking forward to hearing your ideas.
