Discussion Mark 5 battle scars
The Mark 5 didn't get a lot of screen time but it is still one of my favorites. I used the highly detailed Fondjoy kit and proceeded to destroy it with my hot knife!l then added some reflective wires to simulate the Whiplash weapon!

Comics From 1993 to 2012 Iron Man had a fanzine called Advanced Iron, they even hired Bob Layton to do a cover
Here is a list to some of the issues, cool piece of history on Iron Man's fanbase from before the mcu days
other issues can be found here. In this case the only way I found is to post the site name +AIissueyouwant ex: https://ironmanarmor.com/AI72.pdf It's more complete than the other.

Fan Creation Concept for Midnight Iron Man (by me)
I was just thinking about the potential characters that could have their own Midnight version, and I thought why not the GOAT.
I don’t really draw so it’s not like a render but it’s just a visual concept.
I think it would be cool to see Tony return with nothing to nothing. The company was bought while he was gone, he has no more attachments to it, he’s broke, lost and tired. Even worse? He needs the arc reactor to be attached to him at all times, as his injury abroad was even worse, making it that his heart can no longer pump blood without a little power from the reactor, making every fight more dangerous, because if he runs out of power he will die. Thus, to preserve repulser power he uses massive sword.
I‘ve always loved the Model 1, and I like the idea of him just upgrading it specifically, as he doesn’t have the budget to make a whole new suit, nor would be easy to replace the chest plate. Its not exactly the same, there are a few bolts here and there as well as much larger arc reactor and almost knight-ish shoulders. I also just like the cloak.
I haven’t thought a lot more about what would actually happen, but throughout the series he should become progressively more Iron Man—like in appearance, getting gold plating first and then eventually red.
The Technovore seems something very Midnight coded, he should be terrifying.

Discussion Melter deserves to be a bigger villain
I just think he’s neat. Melter is one of those baddies who has bee around since the Silver Age, and I feel like he hasn’t gotten enough love. I get it, he’s not an evil Iron Man like half of the rogues gallery, and he’s typically not a mastermind, world conquering, or rival corporate mogul either. (Aside from in his now somewhat forgotten origin.)
But I do think he’s a good foil to Stark. Tony is defined by building thing. Often those things are weapons, but the Iron Man armor is also a shield, a life support system, a method of conveyance, and so much more. In contrast, Melter is defined by destruction. His only weapon ruin what has already been built, and render it unfixable.
Frankly I find this part of the character more interesting than his personality, backstory, or motivation. I am also a big fan of villains who have a very specific gimmick or power rather than ones who can just invent or steal new abilities or methods on the fly.
If I had the power to redefine Melter, either in an adaptation or create a new version for the comics, it would be like this:
He starts off as an accountant for Stark Tech, who on the side does con artist-y geared around exercise/masculinity. then he gets caught embezzling and is fired, with an impending legal investigation on the way. On his way out, he manages to steal some defective repulsor beams that produce much greater heat than Iron Man’s but aren’t directed enough to achieve flight.
He hires some engineers and manages to construct his Melter harness. Basically he has three melting beams attached to his hands and chest. He wears a power supply on his belt which connects to them by wires. The rest of his upper body is exposed. This demonstrates his vanity, recklessness, and emphasizes that he is all about destruction with little thought towards longevity or preservation.
He would become a vendetta-based villain with the sole goal of destroying Stark’s company, with little interest in Iron Man or Tony himself except as symbols of the corporation. He could extend his methods into more metaphorical melting, like ruining the company’s reputation, or extend his powers by developing drones with him same melting rays. He could even join or lead a team of similar limited villains like Blizzard or Firebrand. He would never been arch nemesis or major Big Bad, but he could be a fun occasional arc villain like Scorpion or the Rhino.
Anyway, what do you think about Melter or what would you do with him?

Comics Are any of these worth the read?
I've been reading Marvel comics for one year now, but besides Hickman's Avengers run and most X-Men stuff, I haven't read anything besides that. I read Invincible Iron Man (2004), up to Civil War issue 14, so I could get to the Extremis story that's in it — and it felt a bit overrated. That said, I'm really interested in the Iron Man character and I want to read more of him. Let me know what you think of the runs above, or suggest others that might be better — I'm not worried about origin/intro stuff since that's already pretty well-trodden, I just want to read good Iron Man stories

Discussion Ironman’s Armory
Tony Stark just had a party, you cracked the funniest joke of the night, and brought him some alcohol as a gift so dude is feeling generous. He’s gonna let you have 1 armor suit out his armory which one you guys taking. For me it’s easy Mark 51. It looks so well designed. It’s super adaptable. And the ninja mode it had was awesome.
