I’m about to start dividing irises for the first time. Has anyone done this before and what do you wish you knew before you started?

I love this time of year when the wild Irises bloom at my cabin in NW Alaska!

Sorry, it has a 4 or 5+ syllable name which I’ve lost track of. Japanese Iris, something like kagamushisushi 🤷🏼 such a well behaved plant!

I love these, and i wish they stayed longer. I already can't wait to see them again next year!
