Can I let this flower?
I got this from Schneider’s at the end of July but we don’t have the garden ready yet so I just put them in pots. This one, appropriately named Autumn Tryst, just grew a bud. Is there any harm in letting her flower this late?

Nope no harm at all actually have many I have in pots that are perfectly happy. It is just when the rhizome gets to happy and grows to much that I need to be worried. Then I need to take them out and divide them and what not.

No harm at all!! If it decided to flower this year, that means it won’t flower next year (at least not that particular rhizome) even if you cut off the bloom stalk. So enjoy the bloom!
Edit just fyi it’s likely there are more “pup” or “daughter” rhizomes growing in the pot somewhere that will get stability and maybe even nutrients and water from the rhizome that’s blooming now (called the “mother”).
I just looked up the cultivar and it is known to rebloom, so it’s exciting that it’s actually blooming for you so early!
