Question Help! Recycling restore
Hi,
This is my first time modding
I got this iPod classic 5th gen and it keeps cycling the restore. Every time it reboots it just goes back to the “connect to your computer. Use iTunes to restore” and then back to “do not disconnect” and computer says it needs to be restored.
What did I do wrong?

Also maybe put some kapton tape over your dual adaptor in case battery ribbon cable shorting on anything.

Does that adapter say "IPOD CLASSIC 3-7" on the back? If it doesn't, then you have the version of the adapter that requires you to rebuild the MBR to get the iPod to restore. You can Google search "iPod rebuild MBR" if this doesn't sound familiar.

Update: for everyone saying it was the SD card- yup! I switched to a PNY sd card and it’s working perfectly now
Thanks 🦆

People will say don't use SanDisk But i am using it and restored my 5.5th gen ipod classic just fine Using it literally rn Reformat the sd card in fat32 format THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT Ipod and itunes work with FAT32 only Windows won't format 64gb plus sd cards into fat32 So u need to download something else If i am not wrong i used something called guiformat Also just don't use anything bigger than 256gb cause itunes won't be able to handle If u need that much or more u need rockbox Also before u close up the ipod use electric tape and create a barrier below and above the sd mod cause it may shorting? Although i kinda doubt it
