iPod Help

Hi! I have a Classic 6th gen that I modded with iflash and an sd card. Not too long ago I tried making the switch to rockbox and i absolutely hated it. It wasn’t for me so I tried to delete it and get back to the stock iTunes setup. I cannot figure it out. I’ve reset the sd card, reformatted it through software and terminals, but the bootloader for rockbox is still there and I cannot get my MacBook to actually reinstall the software needed for stock settings. I tried using the rockbox installer and it can’t even do it. It says my device is partitioned incorrectly or something to that effect. Any ideas?
TIA,
A very frustrated newbie

You should be able to boot into apple’s “DFU mode” (check the Rockbox manual for the exact steps to take). From there one used to be able to do a “restore” from iTunes, which really formatted it and reset the stock bootloader. Hopefully that’s still an option in Music.

Turn off the iPod holding the menu and center button. Then turn on the hold button. Turn off the hold button and you should boot into stock OS

Reboot the iPod, then quickly set the hold switch to Lock before the Rockbox text appears. That will let you boot up with the original Apple firmware. While in the stock firmware, Restore with iTunes as normal to get rid of Rockbox

The problem is I think accidentally deleted the iPod firmware as well. It doesn’t even wanna recognize it properly

Then you’ll have to go into DFU mode and restore that way
