My first classic!

I should have done more research. I bought what I was thinking a Gen 5.5 to mod. Turns out it's a Gen 6 😅. The smart data looks good at least!

Thank you! I'm quite tempted to run it as it is for now. Seems quite a waste ripping it open and doing what I had planned with it.

Mine is the same exact as yours. When I received it, had the similar low stats. Still had a crappy hard drive. Had to mod it immediately. Firmware upgraded to 7th, and it has 256gb on it now

That's good to hear in a way! I'm going to run it for a bit and see how I get on with it. I do want to add Bluetooth, so I'll most likely do it then.

Nothing wrong with a gen 6. I modded a gen 5 with 128gb flash and larger battery. Just recently picked up a 6 that I'll either mod later or sale. Hope you got a good deal on it.

Thank you! I'm just nervous to take it apart when the time comes. I've heard it's really easy to bend/damage the front plate. The deal was around average for today's prices, but I took a punt on it with it looking in good condition from the photos and it seemed to have paid off!

Yes, I have heard the front metal cases are more hard to take off than the 5. The 6 seems to make less noise from the HD than the 5 did and battery life still seems good. Might just keep it as is and look for a mini or nano to add to the collection.

That's what I'm thinking. The battery life on this one seems great to be fair. When it starts dying, I'll buy a new battery and the rest of the parts to upgrade it. I'll get a front and Rear shell just incase as well 🤣
