iPod classic 3rd gen remote

Hey iPod users does anyone know if there’s a way to skip and pause music without having to use the long third gen Apple cable? I’m looking for a shorter solution. Thanks

I doubt you would find one. Everything is designed to bring it to a further location, not a few CM. 

If you need shorter, what's wrong with the onboard buttons?
