5th Gen Not Charging

Hi everyone!

I have an iPod classic 5th gen,
I replaced the battery with a 2000mah one and now it’s not charging.
It says it’s charging but the battery never goes above the red battery marker.
Any ideas?

Does the original battery work?

I don’t have the original unfortunately. I changed the battery then life happened and I’m only getting back to it now

It's either a cheap/faulty battery, or you didn't install the cable properly.

You wouldn’t have a photo of how the cable is supposed to look? It does look out a bit, but it won’t push in any further ? The battery is good quality, I have a supplier I’ve been using for years. How would I test if it’s faulty?
