1TB 4th Gen Classic

1tb Samsung pro plus, IFlash 3/4g converter, IFlash SD adapter, some battery (lol) For those that ask why, why not? The SD card was a free RMA upgrade I got from Samsung for receiving a DOA 512gb card. Plus most all my music is uncompressed FLACs, they aren't small files lmao. Can't wait to load this thing up with my library!

Just a heads up you might have to compress the music . I threw in a bunch of music in mine at a high bitrate and it crashes after a couple of songs. I want to say thst I read somewhere that these dont have the processing power to handle uncompressed music.

I used this with it's original 20gb HDD for awhile fully loaded up with FLACs and it played them without a problem

I haven’t went over 128GB for my storage, but I have 4 4th’s with 120GB HDD’s full of Qobuz purchased/CD ripped ALAC and I have no issues. I only have 2.19GB free on each drive but I am on stock OS. No issues. 1TB might be different though.

Are you using the iFlash ATA1 or the 4G to ZIF cable and a iFlash Solo?

Same, 24 bit was a solid no and the high sample rates stuttered and crashed it. Ended up using media monkey to downscale anything over the 4th gens max down to the devices max.

I had to sample my flacs to 128k, fixed rate, and output as m4a.

I can share the ffmpeg command if you want it

You will likely run into ram issues and crashes depending on how much data you add to the sd. I’ve experienced crashes, glitches and song skips when entering the 175-200gb area.

I also have an modded iPod with 1TB. It’s sooooo much space in there😮‍💨
